Light Within - Hard Truth and Discernment

Every Christian needs to understand further truth

Introduction 2/13/2011
Updated 4/26/2022

I used to keep a very detailed journal of spiritual guidance with corresponding revelations. However, in the many years since then, I found out how dangerous it is to blindly accept and use spiritual teaching or guidance, like visions, dreams, words, etc., even if they come from experienced preachers or are accompanied by miraculous signs and wonders.

Over thirteen years ago when I first came to Christ, I didn't know any better than to simply trust spiritual guidance or any Christian with more experience than me. And the ones who experienced a lot of spiritual signs or guidance appeared to be the most attractive, because they seemed to get all their guidance from God and much of it seemed to make sense.

However, at that time I did not know what demons were capable of, even though I was aware of them, and I did not know that even if you get good guidance from God, it can still be misconstrued and misinterpreted, and false teaching will come out of it when we are influenced by false beliefs, demons, and their false guidance.

I was naive about this and did not know how easily the enemy could affect people or how they could fake spiritual things that appeared to be from God. I also learned that keeping records of false guidance also gives the enemy hooks in you. We'll see in this document how that works.

As a new believer, I simply put my trust in God to lead me, and I was and have been guided by God through it all (see About Ty Alexander for my background and how God guided me to ministry), but I ignorantly believed that false guidance wouldn't be as harmful as I later found it to be. In fact, constantly seeking spiritual guidance and revelations can easily become a form of divination that demons attach to, even if you are praying to God directly by name.

I've found that imposters of the Lord, His Spirit, saints, and angels are much more prevalent in the church and world than most people think. And the church often falsely takes for granted that God protects them from the enemy and false guidance, and often dismisses that the enemy can have significant influence on them.

I've even heard some Christians say they don't believe in demons or that they could control Christians. These are just some misconceptions and hard truths of many I will talk about here after learning through many years of ministry and spiritual warfare. If you reject the existence of demons or that they can affect anyone, even well-meaning, saved and reborn Christians, then you've already given the enemy a victory over you and the church.

False guidance and bad spiritual teaching is so prevalent in the world now, it can come from anybody. It has eroded trust in the church as well, and is a big reason why so much sin is found in the church. I'm angry and frustrated to see so much sex abuse and other sins being revealed in the church and especially in people who are supposed to be trusted leaders for God. The religious community has failed to teach and lead as it should, largely because God's People - Jew and Christian alike - have been cursed by their sins, false teaching, and accepting the world's ways.

In the secular sector, I see more support for bad spiritual teaching as well, like New York passed a law for more access to late-term abortions[6.1.10] and Virginia proposed far less restriction to abortions, even up to the moment of birth[6.1.12].

It's also very troubling that people are targeting young children into abortionist viewpoints[3.1.49] and some public schools are even forcing young children to use mediation in mindfulness exercises[3.1.28]. Meditation for mindfulness is ok if spiritualism is kept out of it. It sounds good to people who are ignorant of spiritual things and demons, but it appears teachers in public schools are using mediation along with linking spiritually to the universe or other spiritually harmful practices.

I experienced the pitfalls of learning from people that use bad teaching and spiritual guidance, and I will share how this is extremely harmful, especially to those who are naive about the dangers of practices that demons attach to.

Who can you trust when people with even decades of study can be deceived by false teaching and guidance? If you are learning and accepting the wrong things, it doesn't matter how long you've studied. Accepting bad teaching from inexperienced people, or worse, misled people who seem to have good advice in the moment, is like consulting a layman on choosing the right building materials. It will backfire when the materials don't hold up to the purposes they were used for, so even if the foundation is good, the structure won't last.

Or worse, the materials are contaminated with hazardous products and end up being very harmful, even deadly. This is what happens when inexperienced or misled Christians and ministers build on top of God's foundation with bad or tainted materials.

The church, world, and especially the Internet is full of this bad material, and I found out the hard way that even if you are aware of the enemy and try very hard to discern what is good guidance, your chances of being misled are guaranteed if you accept bad teaching or false guidance.

False beliefs and false guidance are hooks for the enemy, and maybe the worse consequence of accepting it, is that it leads to brainwashing, which can affect everyone alike, whether you are atheist, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Muslim, or anybody else.

Praise the Lord, He brought me out of spiritual brainwashing so I could see the truth more clearly and help others come to better discernment. I hope what I've learned will benefit anyone who learns from what I share. However, I also know that if you are brainwashed by false beliefs or guidance, it will be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for you to understand things correctly until you come out of the brainwashing, because you will try to interpret things to fit your false beliefs and bad teaching.

This means the first step in coming out of spiritual blindness or brainwashing is to reject false beliefs and lies, and try to be very objective and consider all the evidence with appropriate weight. This helps you understanding more clearly, because rejecting lies, false beliefs, and bad teaching also removes the hooks of the enemy and brings deliverance. Truly, the truth does set you free (John 8:32).

However, simply knowing truth and partial truths, as the church most commonly does, cannot set you free when you continue to hold on to lies, false teachings, and false beliefs. So if you think that reading scripture and that having the Spirit by being saved in Christ is sufficient for you to be free from error, then I urge you to learn more and continue reading.

What and Why We Fight 4/15/2019
Updated 4/22/2022

In my first decade of ministry, I found that almost every ministry, church, Christian, Bible, and Bible resource I've come across had something or another wrong, so wherever you turn for teaching and advice, you cannot just follow and accept blindly, but need to closely examine and be able to think critically about what is being said or taught. This document will help with that from the further details and truth I share.

If you minister for the Lord, then you are obligated to get your teaching right, because spreading false gospels is a sin (Galatians 1:8-9) and spreading lies and false teaching also spreads the demons they are associated with. We will see how this works later.

In response to things I share, some ministers have said that getting our teaching correct is not important, while others take great offense to being corrected. Ask yourselves - What or who are you following if you are spreading lies and false teaching? Can you be a good teacher or minister if you are not willing to be corrected?

Even if we've been in bad spiritual paths for a long time, it doesn't mean all our knowledge and experience is useless. I received much good guidance from God as I walked in bad teachings. It shows God is still faithful if we are faithful, and when we come out of the wrong beliefs then we're much better equipped to combat what we had wrong. However, staying in false teachings and false guidance will only keep the enemy's hooks in you, so coming out of that is important.

Another good thing about false guidance and bad paths is that we can keep truth from our experiences, even if it came from demons, because truth is truth no matter where it came from. I've found much of the church has gotten truth this way. However, that doesn't mean we should study and keep everything demons have influenced, because they skew the truth and give lies with it, so it takes experience to pick out the truth. I do not recommend studying bad teaching and false guidance without sufficient experience, since believing in lies and false guidance will let the enemy influence you more and bring spiritual brainwashing.

God led me through mountains of both good and bad spiritual guidance over the years, so I could see and correct what is wrong with the church's and world's knowledge. Now I have over thirteen years experience sorting through good and bad spiritual guidance and teaching that gives me much better discernment of what is good and true. May you accept that and use what I've learned to compare with and correct your own beliefs and teachings.

I also welcome everyone to closely examine what I say and correct me if I'm wrong. All ministers should be equally open to this as we are called to not blindly accept things, but test and examine, especially prophecy, very closely (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21; 1 John 4:1-3).

God also tests us with false guidance, like He said in Deuteronomy 13:1-3 about a prophet or dreamer of dreams having signs or wonders to make us worship another god. God said about the signs and wonders, do not listen to that person and follow other gods, "for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul."

Things are much more complicated today, though, because the enemy can also perform signs and wonders to deceive us apart from God's testing (Matthew 24:24). This is even more confusing with false-christ spirits and imposters of the Lord, His Spirit, saints, and angels who claim to be the real thing and use real spiritual powers, signs, and wonders to mislead us. I spent many of my ministry years learning about these imposters and what they can do. The world is now full of them after more than two thousand years since Christ came.

I've seen many ministries through the years that are misled by demons and false guidance, but I also acknowledge God sometimes does give them good guidance, so I do not want to diminish them or any other ministries or people who are trying to whole-heartedly serve the Lord. They can get good guidance from God too and truth that is needed, some of which the Lord used to continue to guide me on so I could show the truth much clearer than the church has known, for "We know in part and prophecy in part" (1 Corinthians 13:9), and we are parts of the whole Body of Christ, which are necessary for its complete functioning (Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-26; 1 Corinthians 3:3-9)

We can all get good guidance from God, but also can be easily misled, so I must point out what is wrong for the better good of God's People and the world. A lot of the lack of change in the church I've been fighting for has to do with the enemy's grip on people and the spiritual blinding or brainwashing from what they believe. Some of it is God's will since the weeds or tares planted by the enemy in the kingdom will be with us until the end of the age (Matthew 13:29-30, 13:39-40). But it is also sin to promote division or factions (Galatians 5:20), so this battle with the enemy and their tares is also God's will.

Why would God want all this conflict for God's People? Our fight for the truth and righteousness also trains, tests, and matures us. This fight is for our current Promised Land of New Jerusalem, since the enemy now occupies it and the Book or Revelation says New Jerusalem is our final home in the next life (Revelation 21:2).

Our fight is not against flesh and blood people, but against the spiritual rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world and in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). It is against the demons and lies they promote that influence and control the church and people.

Ephesians 6 says we need the full armor of God in this fight: truth, righteousness, the gospel, faith, eternal salvation, and the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). I address in detail the gospel and eternal salvation or how we are saved in The True Gospel and Imposters. Its details are very important because if you are not truly saved in Christ then you do not belong to Him or are reborn with God's Spirit or Mind even if you believe you are, so read the True Gospel article to before continuing with the rest of this document.

Continuing with the Armor of God - The word of God, which is scripture or God's other spoken guidance, is used throughout this document and website. Faith is something each individual needs to work out on their own basis, but it can be strengthened by testimony and other proofs of the truth. This document should help increase your faith in my experience with the last two pieces of God's Armor: truth and righteousness - further truth for a more complete picture of the world and God's kingdom, and righteousness in understanding what sin really is and avoiding it.

This will remove many obstacles out of the way for God's People, so I will use all my experience in building up and preparing the road for us all (Isaiah 57:14).

Common Misconceptions and Myths 4/15/2019
Updated 5/29/2023

To begin with getting rid of lies and false beliefs, I will talk about many misconceptions or lies that are common in the church. Some of them I got when I was a young Christian from churches and ministries, but through experience, the Lord led me to see they are in error.

Misconceptions & Myths about Bibles and Interpretation
The first group covers false beliefs about scripture and interpretation. People have many misconceptions about scripture that leads them astray. There is still confusion that blinds God's People in the church and Jewish community alike, because people's preconceived ideas and interpretations of scripture make them miss or dismiss the truth.

Like in John 7:14-53, the people were divided about who Yeshua - Jesus was. Was He the Prophet predicted in Malachi 3 and 4 (Malachi 3:1-3, 4:5-6) or the Christ-Messiah? But isn't the Christ to come from Bethlehem, they asked? (John 7:42; Micah 5:2-4) Why does this man come from Galilee? (John 7:21-22) And so, many rejected Him without further investigation.

The Jews knew God's word like the church does today, but because of their linear thinking they dismissed Yeshua - Jesus, who grew up in and apparently came from Galilee and Nazareth, since Nazareth is in the district of Galilee, but He also came from Bethlehem farther south where He was born[2.801.1].

The secular world is blinded by the same kind of linear thinking. They dismiss the little details giving evidence for God, and unfortunately, much of the church today is wrong about doctrine, like the Jews were about Christ, because they dismiss finer details. They've been blinded by false beliefs that God revealed through many people. Much of my ministry has focused on getting the truth right and I will share many important ones.

1a. Myth: God is not a god or author of "confusion".
1b. Myth: The Bible and God are easy to understand.
1 Corinthians 14:33, "God is not the author of confusion" (KJV) or "God is not a God of confusion" (NASB) is often used to say God does not give confusing or misleading things.

However, that is not the context of the verse, which is talking about keeping order in church congregations. That verse should be read, "God is not a god of disorder," which is how the NIV Bible translates it.

God does create and speak in very confusing ways. His heavenly host can act as lying spirits who He sends for various reasons (1 Kings 22:19-23; 2 Chronicles 18:18-22), and all of Creation was made very confusingly to test faith in man to see if we trust God or what we see with our eyes.

Also note how God made the universe and our world to appear ancient - billions of years old - and what appears to be "Evolution" without God and its evidence in fossil records and DNA is not as straightforward proof for a godless universe as the world thinks.

God hid the details of how things work very well. He hides the truth to test us and He did the same with scripture and other spiritual guidance, like dreams and visions. Many of His parables and prophecies are deliberately confusing.

The disciples of Jesus were even confused by things He said. God obscures things because it is His will; it tests us, and God hides the full truth so those who consider themselves wise and learned will stumble in their pride, and some people are made blind to the truth - cursed, so they cannot easily understand, repent, and heal - "[The people will] keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand," and so, "the hearts of this people [are] insensitive, their ears dull, and their eyes dim, otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and return and be healed" (Isaiah 6:9-10; Matthew 11:25, 13:14-15; Mark 4:11-12; Luke 10:21; Acts 28:26-27; Romans 11:7-10; 1 Corinthians 1:19-31; John 9:39; Galatians 1:8-9).

Some examples of this are how Jesus replies to Jews in cryptic ways, like in John 9:39-41, He said, "For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind," and Pharisees asked in return, "We are not blind too, are we?"

Jesus replied, "If you were blind, you would have no sin; but since you say, 'We see,' your sin remains." This response is not clear without further thought. If read too quickly, He seemed to say, they sinned by not being blind to God, but He is referring to their pride and sin in claiming they were not blind to God, the truth, and righteousness when they were wrong about them.

Another confusing response is discussed in the first example of the next misconception.
1c. Myth: There's only one way to interpret scripture and God's guidance.
SSL is an acronym meaning Secure Sockets Layer, which is a standard of communications encryption over the Internet. God guided me on how this also refers to how He encrypts multiple messages or meaning into His word and guidance that often isn't obvious until its deeper meanings are revealed.

God revealing the meanings is important, because anyone can interpret His word or guidance any number of ways, which could be incorrect. The Jehovah's Witnesses did this and created false scripture from mistranslating true scripture. We can never jump to conclusions using our own thinking, but we need the help of God's Mind or Spirit in us coupled with His other guidance to get the correct interpretations using all the necessary information.

This means we need to be reborn with God's Spirit and truly belong to God, so His mind is a literal part of us. The True Gospel and Imposters discusses how this works in detail. Otherwise, we would have to be anointed with God's Spirit somehow, like the prophets in the Old Testament. Having God's Mind or Spirit in the Christian Age is not the same thing as being anointed or baptized with the Holy Spirit, like at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-36) and in Acts 10:44-47 where the Spirit comes upon people who believed in Christ. These were temporary comings of the Spirit in power and not the rebirth of the Spirit in us, which we need to be saved.

The SSL or deeper layer of encryption in God's guidance can be seen in scripture and His live guidance. I've noted this quality in prophetic guidance many times over the years by God instructing on one subject in the moment while also revealing meaning or prophesying about another subject using the very same guidance.

I must also note that even though God puts multiple meanings into prophetic guidance, we can never jump to conclusions about that either. We should let the correct interpretations come in their time. Clamoring for revelations is sure to be full of mistakes and invites the enemy to come in with false guidance and interpretations.

Examples of this multi-layered guidance are:
  • In Matthew 23:26 and Luke 11:40-41, Jesus tells the Pharisees they must clean the inside of the cup or bowl first, and then the outside will also be clean. He said in Luke that God made both the outside and the inside and that giving charitably would make them clean. However, it does not make much sense if you take those words literally, because simply giving charity does not make "all things clean" for us as Jesus says there. And for the Jews, charity had nothing to do with being clean in the Law of Moses.

Common interpretations of this scripture assume God is only talking about giving out charity to people or having a righteous heart, but God is talking in parable and metaphor to the Pharisees. Cleaning the inside of the cup and plate is also a metaphor for the cleansing of our body and spirit through being reborn with God's Spirit when we are truly saved into His kingdom. The symbolism doesn't just refer to wanting to do righteousness in our heart.

This inside cleansing through the New Covenant and rebirth of God's Spirit in us is noted in Hebrews 9:13-14 and Hebrews 10:19-22. It allows us to come near God behind the curtain where God's presence is in the Most Holy Place, simply as we are, because we have been cleansed inside and out by His Spirit if we are truly saved.

This is analogous to how the high priests went behind the curtain in God's temple where the Ark of the Covenant and God's presence was after they were sure to be ceremonially clean.

Once we understand the metaphor of truly being clean on the inside through our rebirth with the Holy Spirit, we can see Jesus is telling the Pharisees that they need to acknowledge Him and be saved and reborn by His New Covenant, as well as to have a righteous, charitable heart. Only then could all things truly be clean for them.

God's dual meaning of becoming saved and reborn and also of walking with a righteous heart here, is further linked in John 13:10-11 to say that Judas was not saved or "clean" like the other disciples were, at least when he betrayed Jesus. However, there's nothing in scripture to say that Judas did not become saved after he realized what great wrong he did to Christ, so I hope in the time between he realized his mistake and his death that he did confess belief in Christ to someone to gain his eternal salvation. God's love and grace in the New Covenant is so great, such that all our sin is forgiven if we fulfill its terms. See The True Gospel and Imposters for details.

  • The Book of Zechariah tells about rebuilding the Lord's temple after the Jews' return from exile in Babylon and also prophesies building the Lord's Bride today - the current "temple" or city without walls, which is His New Jerusalem (Zechariah 2:4; Revelation 3:12, 21:2).

Zechariah 5:5-11 also talks about the woman called "Wickedness," which is also the Harlot, Babylon the Great of Revelation 17 and 18, since she is flown to "the country of Babylonia (Shinar)" in Zechariah 5:11. More about the Harlot will be discussed in The Harlot and Leaving Her section below.

  • The verses of Jeremiah 1:11 and 2:13 have significance in the meaning of the verses going with the meaning of their numbers. In my personal background page, I speak about being given the numbers 111 and 213 and their meanings. I was also guided to the page spread[1.2.1] of Jeremiah 1:11 and 2:13 in my first Bible that started and ended in these two verses exactly.

    Jeremiah 1:11-12 states:
    • "The word of the Lord Yahovah came to me: 'What do you see, Jeremiah?'
'I see the branch of an almond tree,' I replied.
Yahovah said to me, 'You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.'"

God fulfilling His word goes with the meaning of the number 111 I was given - that it represents God in the Holy Trinity, the beginning of the Christian Age, and how Christ's first coming, death, and resurrection made the Trinity complete, because the Holy Spirit coming in power to Christians would not have happened otherwise (John 16:7; see The Meaning of Numbers and 111 for more). Christ came to fulfill the law or God's word (Matthew 5:17; Luke 24:44), so 111 and Jeremiah 1:11-12 align with this theme.

Jeremiah 2:13 states how Israel has forsaken God by rebelling against Him and by "digging her own cisterns" or wells that cannot hold water. It links to the meaning of 213 representing the end of our current age just before the second coming of Christ. This scripture and number went with my ministry's work in correcting the church's false beliefs today, because her broken cisterns also refer to the church letting God's live guidance and the truth leak away.

213 also has the number of God's promise in it, 13 (see The Meaning of Numbers and 13 for more), and goes with God's promise to build the Bride and my role to help by showing the truth that she lets leak away. This is meant to remove sin and correct the church so she can attain the purity and glory God wants of His People - a People prepared for the Lord (Luke 1:17).

Understanding what sin really is is an important part of this, so it's discussed in greater detail in this document.

All together, these verses and numbers represent God fulfilling His word to make His Bride a reality, His New Jerusalem (Revelation 3:12, 21:2) or Hephzibah (Isaiah 62:4), and to prepare Her for His return.

  • Acts 10:9-48, gives a more obvious example of the deeper encryption in God's guidance I'm talking about. In Acts 10:9, Peter gets a vision and words telling him that all manner of food can be eaten. That was the first revelation. Then later, Cornelius, a centurion, gets Peter to come to his house because an angel told him to call on Peter for a message (Acts 10:22).

When Cornelius meets with Peter, Peter got the revelation that his visit to a Gentile or non-Jew, went with the guidance about not segregating food as clean or unclean to symbolize God's gift of eternal salvation in Christ was also not meant to be segregated by Jew or Gentile.

God welcomes and forgives anyone if they fulfill the conditions of the New Covenant, no matter their circumstances or what they had done or are doing wrong (Acts 10:34). An important thing to point out in this is that Peter got the revelation with help from the Holy Spirit within him. If we jump to our own conclusions about guidance it can lead to serious errors and create different interpretations, which can be seen in the many translations of the Bible that have bad interpretations and differ in meaning.

I got a revelation in a similar way as Peter about how the New Covenant works as a conditional covenant to save us and how that reconciles statements in the New Testament about certain sins preventing people from being saved or getting the kingdom of God. See The True Gospel and Imposters for details.

  • Most of the Book of Hosea is a good example of multi-layered or parallel prophecy, as God prophesied about ancient Israel and today's People of God in the Christian Age and today at the end of the age. See this update for God's Alarm which goes over the entire Book of Hosea for details.

1d. Myth: Any Bible or translation is ok to use.
During my years in ministry I've seen Christians and churches giving unreasonable restrictions to what Bibles they use; some even make only one Bible the only standard they want to use. This is a serious problem if you want to understand God as He wants, because I have not found any Bibles to be free of translation errors and I've seen many with serious problems of interpretation. We need good translations of God's original words to understand what He meant and that requires learning from more than one good translation, as well as original language resources to double-check things.

On the other hand, other ministries are not selective enough in choosing their Bibles. Some Bibles are too liberal in their translations of God's original words or are very bad or misguided translations, all of which can skew interpretation, so that the truth or God's meaning is lost.

Many teaching errors in the church come from using bad interpretations of scripture, and though some churches and denominations restrict Bible study to their "official" Bible(s), it is a bad policy, because there are many bad Bibles we should avoid and even good Bibles have errors. We cannot limit ourselves with only one or two Bibles, since there are no Bibles free of error.

Religious spirits also blind people into restricting use of more Bibles or resources and lead people to make any Bible sacred and inerrant, so people won't look any further for the full truth. Our scripture and especially our translations of God's words being inerrant is a false belief that blinds people into bad teaching and incomplete truth.

See Choosing a Bible for suggestions on picking good Bibles.

1e. Myth: Correct interpretation of scripture or God's spiritual guidance is automatic and easy.
The first three misconceptions above give examples of why interpretation is not automatic or easy. In 1c. Myth: There's only one way to interpret scripture and God's guidance, I also noted how we need to be reborn with God's Spirit to have His Mind. This helps us understand what God means, but it is no guarantee we will be free of error and misinterpretation.

Correct interpretation of scripture and God's other guidance is not always automatic and easy, and the enemy is good at faking spiritual guidance and forcing wrong interpretations on us. That is part of the brainwashing I've talked about in this document.

The following two verses mislead people into thinking that any Christian has God's Mind and does not need any other teacher than the Holy Spirit: 1 Corinthians 2:16, "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ," and 1 John 2:27, "As for you, the anointing which you received [of the Holy Spirit] from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him."

These verses are misleading because not every believer in Christ is saved or reborn with God's Spirit. The True Gospel and Imposters explains this more clearly.

The statement in 1 John 2:27 about not needing a teacher other than God's Spirit is also misleading, because it does not take into account the times we're in now of many spiritual imposters, like false-christs, false-holy-spirits, and false teaching, being common.

1 John 2:27 is also about being loyal to God through Christ, since John was talking about antichrists and people trying to deceive believers into denying Yeshua - Jesus was truly the Christ. That is the specific teaching in which John said, "and just as [the Spirit] has taught you, you abide in Him."

However, it isn't clear that John isn't only speaking about the Spirit in them teaching them, but also referring to the Spirit teaching them through him and others, since they likely learned not to deny the Lord from the disciples.

John and the other disciples also had to further instruct these believers, so they weren't taught everything only by the Spirit within them. The Body of Christ has many parts that need each other for its functioning, and God will continue to anoint servants and teachers to teach the church and each other until there is unity in God's People (Ephesians 4:11-13).

Paul also noted how we need each other in 1 Corinthians 3:
"You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? For when one says, 'I follow Paul,' and another, 'I follow Apollos,' are you not mere men?

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe - as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building" (1 Corinthians 3:3-9).
Learning only from the Holy Spirit would work if the enemy was not around to impersonate God and His Spirit and give false guidance in His name. That is not the age we're in. We are in the age where the enemy occupies the kingdom until the end of the age. See the section titled Unity only at the end and the Parable of the Tares and Wheat in The True Gospel and Imposters for more details.

The age where Satan is shut out from deceiving man is during the thousand-year Millennial Reign (Revelation 20:1-3) after the Rapture or first resurrection of the dead when we reign with the Lord after His Second Coming (Revelation 20:4-6).

1f. Myth: We cannot give more interpretation for the Book of Revelation.
1g. Myth: God no longer gives new revelations outside of the Bible.
These false beliefs come from the warning in Revelation about adding to or removing from that book (Revelation 22:18-19). People jump to the wrong conclusion that it means we cannot reveal more about what is said in Revelation. However, that is not what God meant. It refers to modifying that scripture specifically by adding or removing words from the prophecy or vision given by John in the Book of Revelation.

God has revealed more meaning and continues to reveal more about Revelation and scripture in general to His servants since Christ came and since the Book of Revelation was written. Much of what I write about was revealed to me and others; guidance that needed to be put together, as I noted above.

How is God supposed to reveal more about His prophecies, parables, and other hidden things throughout the Bible if we don't talk about what He taught us? See this post for an example of God revealing more meaning in Revelation 9...

Misconceptions & Myths about Sin, Judgment, and Curses

2a. Myth: Any "wrongdoing" is sin.
Not every "wrong" act is sin. The Biblical definition of sin is the transgression or breaking of God's laws and commands, not man's laws or what man may think are God's laws (1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20, 4:15, 7:7).

The enemy promotes condemnation and all kinds of false sin, like using birth control is actually not a sin. However, sex outside of marriage is sin. Another example is divorce. Divorce in itself or being divorced is not a sin. It is only that God allows divorce in certain circumstances and if a couple divorces outside of that, then their intimate relationships with new partners or spouses is considered adultery. See Sex and Marriage - The Plain Truth for more about these issues.

Other false sin comes from the teaching of other religions, like some Asian philosophies believe killing any animal is a sin or killing certain animals is a sin.

2b. Myth: Children cannot get curses or judgment for parents' and ancestors' sins anymore.
Generational curses are still active today. This is easily seen in inherited curses, like genetic disorders and predispositions to cancer, illnesses, anger, addiction, etc. Generational curses can also be seen when children suffer from curses that are not from their own sin, like cancer, serious illnesses, abduction, premature death, and other bad events.

The following scripture supports generational curses: Exodus 20:5, 34:6-7; Leviticus 20:4-5, 26:22, 26:39; Numbers 14:18, 16:25-35; Deuteronomy 5:9, 23:2, 28:18; Joshua 7:24-26; 2 Chronicles 29:6-9; Jeremiah 2:9, 9:16, 32:18, 36:31; Isaiah 48:12; Lamentations 5:7; Hosea 4:6; 2 Peter 2:14.

Many of those verses only refer to sin in the Law of Moses, but there are also references that are generalized to all of mankind, so generational curses are not limited to the Jews.

Confusion about generational curses often comes from statements in the New Testament about Christ setting us free from the law (Galatians 5:1; 2 Corinthians 3:17). However, that is not referring to generational curses in general, and more specifically refers to setting us free from needing to obey the Law of Moses as Jews must.

Other scripture that makes people erroneously think generational curses are void include:
  • Deuteronomy 24:16, "Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin," and 2 Kings 14:6 and 2 Chronicles 25:4, which reference Deuteronomy 24:16.

This is a command from the Lord on how to treat people and is not about generational curses He brings.

  • John 9:1-3 where the disciples ask Jesus, "Who sinned, the man or his parents, that he was born blind?" And Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him."

Some people think that because the man was not blind from his or his parents' sin, that it means generational curses no longer happen. However, Jesus did not say that. He only said the man was born blind to show God's miracle working, so his blindness not being caused by sin only applied to him in that one case, and does not apply in general.

  • Jeremiah 31:27-40 and Ezekiel 18:1-32 talk about days coming when Israel will no longer say, "The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge" (Jeremiah 31:29; Ezekiel 18:2). This refers to the coming of the New Covenant and times we are in now.

The statement about sour grapes goes with curses in the Law of Moses for sin that will also affect descendants, like stated in Deuteronomy 28:18 and Leviticus 26:39. So the verses about sour grapes refer to the end of generational curses coming from those stated in the Law of Moses for the Jews. This does not refer to statements about generational curses that are outside the Law of Moses, like for idolatry in the Ten Commandments, which is for all of mankind, and other Old Testament references above that are not only for the Jews, so Christians and other peoples still get generational curses today.

2c. Myth: Curses and other bad things don't come from God.
I've seen many Christians say this, and I believe it comes from the modern church that overemphasizes love and God's love. They teach a more romanticized version of God that blinds them to where judgment ultimately comes from and God's full character. This mentality also comes from false guidance that teaches people to have a more intimate, worldly relationship with God. I will discuss this below.

We must remember that God is Judge as well as Father, and He makes both the good and bad (Deuteronomy 32:39; 1 Samuel 2:5-7; Isaiah 45:7; Lamentations 3:38; Job 12:23; Jeremiah 31:28; Ecclesiastes 7:14; 2 Chronicles 25:8; Proverbs 22:2).

Something related to this is how some Christians don't believe the 9-11 terrorist attacks were from God, but He has shown through the work of Johnathan Cahn and prophetic images in American currency that show His hand in 9/11. See 9/11 Prophecy for details.

2d. Myth: Paying our taxes is an absolute command.
2e. Myth: We cannot rob God of tithes and offerings in the Christian Age.
2f. Myth: Tithe money can be used for anything.
All these misconceptions are handled in Properly Handling God's Money and Our Taxes.

2g. Myth: It is a sin to not attend church or Bible study.

Misconceptions & Myths about Salvation and the Afterlife

3a. Myth: All of God's promises are unconditional and automatic.
This false belief may have to do with the popularity in the modern church of being saved by faith or belief in Christ alone. After all, the New Covenant is a free gift of God that is not determined by our works, "for it is by grace you have been saved through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:15-16, 6:23).

However, that is not how all of God's promises work and especially not how His conditional covenants work. Unconditional covenants, like God's promise to not kill all life on earth by flood again (Genesis 9:8-11), His promises to Abraham of an heir (Genesis 15:4-5) and the Promised Land (Genesis 15:7-21), and His promise to David to establish his name and throne forever (2 Samuel 7:9-16)[2.800.1], were all unconditional promises that the recipients did not have to do anything to have fulfilled.

The original Promised Land was and still is God's unconditional covenant for the descendants of Abraham, which means God's People will possess the land in and around Israel not matter what. However, that doesn't mean everyone gets the promise.

Sin or disobedience to God affects some promises. For example, Moses and Aaron did not get to enter the Promised Land because they did not do things as the Lord directed to get water out of the rock of Meribah (Numbers 20:8-13; 20:24), and many people who rebelled against the Lord to take the Promised Land did not get to enter either (Numbers 14:21-23). The People were made to wander the desert for 40 years because of their unfaithfulness (Numbers 14:28-38) and Aaron and Moses died before they could enter the Promised Land (Numbers 20:22-29; Deuteronomy 34:1-8).

The New Covenant, though, is a conditional covenant like the Old Covenant was. See the next misconceptions and The True Gospel and Imposters for details and misconceptions about being saved.

How Conditional Covenants Work
Since the New Covenant is a conditional covenant, we need to understand how they work in general. I first came upon this knowledge from Take His Heart Ministries[3.1.56] in October 2010 after I started studying their teachings. However, I do not recommend studying their materials anymore, because I found they are being misled by one or more false-christ spirits and are likely influenced by other demons. I will go into detail about these things later in this document, but a summary can be found at Ministry Warnings.

Because Take His Heart and their lead pastor, Roy Sauzek, are being misled doesn't mean God isn't with them as well. He has given them good guidance, some of which I had to connect with mine to get a better picture of the truth, so do not judge anyone for being misled. I fell to the same spiritual brainwashing that accepting false guidance and lies brings, and I've seen a majority of the church has fallen and is being misled as well.

We can keep the truth we got from bad spiritual paths, though, as I said, and one part of the picture is how God's conditional covenants work. They are promises that come only after certain conditions or terms are fulfilled or are promises that only remain if the conditions are kept. This means if we do not uphold the conditions of the covenant, the promises of the covenant are taken away or not given in the first place.

The scripture of Joshua 7 is an example of how God’s conditional covenants work. There, Achan and his family broke the covenant God made for plunder taken in Jericho (Joshua 6:17-19). Items of value were to be put in the Lord's treasury, but Achan and his family secretly kept some. This was a sin that broke the covenant and took away God's protection in the battle after Jericho to take Ai (Joshua 7:4-5). When Joshua lamented the loss, the Lord told him it was because His covenant was broken (Joshua 7:10-11).

It only takes one instance to break a conditional covenant, so if it was only Achan taking one banned item, the covenant would have still been broken. In this case, his whole family was blamed for taking many items, and many others died when the people were cursed afterwards.

The original Passover in Exodus 12 gives another picture of how conditional covenants work. God commanded the Jews to apply lamb's blood on their doorframes, so He would not strike down their firstborn with the rest of Egypt's (Exodus 12:7, 12:13, 12:22-23). This act of putting blood on the doorways was a covenant promising protection for the Jews during the last plague of Egypt. When God saw the blood on the door in accordance to the covenant of protection, He would pass over that household and leave the occupants unharmed (Exodus 12:13, 12:23), which is where the Passover term comes from.

The important thing to note from this is, if a Jewish family did not obey the covenant by putting blood on the doorframe, God would not have passed over that household and their firstborn would have died just the same as the rest of Egypt's, because the covenant of protection would have been unfulfilled. It was not the state of being Jewish that protected the Jews, but it was obedience to God's covenant that promised safety.

Other very important examples of how conditional covenants work are given in The True Gospel and Imposters.

3b. Myth: Anyone who believes in Christ is saved.
3c. Myth: Loving God and having a close relationship with God will save us into His kingdom.
3d. Myth: Water baptism or other rituals will save people into God's kingdom.
3e. Myth: Having the Holy Spirit come in power or being baptized with the Holy Spirit saves us into God's kingdom.
3f. Myth: All Christians will not go through the Judgment.
All of these misconceptions are covered in The True Gospel and Imposters.

Other Misconceptions & Myths

4a. Myth: The Rapture will save Christians from the Great Tribulation.
This is untrue because scripture states the Rapture comes after the Tribulation when Christ comes back to destroy the last Antichrist, that lawless one whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming in glory (2 Thessalonians 2:8; Revelation 19:17-21). This directly contradicts pre- and mid-Tribulation Rapture teachers who actually say the Bible says otherwise. However, when I examined their teachings they quickly reveal themselves to be unapproved workmen for the Lord because they do not correctly handle scripture nor keep it in correct context, and they make many over exaggerations and speculations that are not supported in scripture (2 Timothy 2:15). One of these teachers is actually the false prophet who I rebuked and said fulfilled prophecy of Zechariah 13 in The Lord said, Let no one argue.

Many of these teachers of false Rapture doctrine appear very rational and sound, just as I see many other false teachers of false teaching seem to appear. They speak with confidence and assertion and seem to back up what they say with sound logic and scripture, but if examined closely their teaching can be found to be in error. For uneducated believers, this is very hard to identify and so they quickly accept false teaching.

Many of these ministers are overeager and naive and love to expound and appear learned, but they are as Paul said, "wanting to be teachers of the law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions" (1 Timothy 1:7). They fulfill what Paul said would happen, "For the time will come when [the brethren] will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled with pleasant things, they will heap for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, and they will turn their ears away from the truth and will turn aside to myths" (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Pre- and Mid-Tribulation Rapture myths are certainly included. Teachers of these doctrines refer to notions like "named" trumpets, such as the last trumpet associated with the Rapture (1 Corinthians 15:52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16), and they make connections in scripture with words that are shared in Bible verses, but they give no truly valid scriptural or other proof. When I examine their teaching I often see scripture does not really support what they say, just like teachers of other false doctrine interpret and connect things incorrectly.

And I must note, just because some verses share the exact same word(s), it does not always mean they go together. Many of these false teachers connect things themselves without God's help (God's Spirit and Mind), or worse, they connect things through the urgings and interpretations of their dark spirits, and so they use a carnal mind to interpret, of which the Lord has often reminded - the carnal mind is enmity or hostility against God and cannot truly understand Him or scripture correctly (Romans 8:6-8; see 22, 23, and 44 in The Meaning of Numbers for more of God's guidance on this). Remember, correct interpretation of scripture and God's guidance belongs to Him, not man nor the multitude of demons that influence man (2 Peter 1:20-21; Genesis 40:8). This is why I wait on the Lord to guide and affirm.

To further show these teachers as blind and deceived, I also see them completely dismiss valid connections in scripture, such as Yeshua speaking of the Rapture in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 using language of Him coming on the clouds of the sky with His elect after the Tribulation (Matthew 24:29-31; Mark 13:24-27). These teachers claim explicitly that does not refer to the Rapture, when the event clearly matches what Paul states of it, our being caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air with the dead in Christ preceding us (1 Thessalonians 4:17; also Revelation 1:7). Like other false teachers, they twist around scripture and ignore valid connections and other scripture that oppose them.

I also see these ministries stating no other Bible version can be used except for the KJV. This greatly hurts them and the brethren, because I often see the KJV giving them the wrong interpretations of God's actual words. They obviously do not understand that there is NO one perfect Bible translation and the KJV has just as many errors as others, which is why I always tell people to use many good Bible translations to study from (see How To Choose A Bible for more). I've seen too many churches and ministries refuse to accept anything unless it is in the KJV, but such Bible exaltation is a ploy of the devil to keep people blind in false teachings. How can you understand scripture correctly if you're only seeing one version which is incorrect in many things?

Many teachers of non-post-Tribulation Rapture talk about God's great mercy and that He will spare believers during the Great Tribulation, but again they do not truly understand God and His ways. He tests even the most righteous with severe conditions and trials. How did He test Abraham and Job? Certainly you can expect hard trials if you belong to God, for He works us towards greater maturity and sanctification in them, so if you have not experienced this then you are illegitimate children, not truly belonging to Christ, as Paul says (Hebrews 12:4-8).

It is not God's plan to rapture the church before the very end of this age when He returns. He will keep His righteous safe through the Tribulation in another way, which I speak more of in God's Alarm.

As for the Rapture, consider why God needs to limit the time of the Great Tribulation for His elect, His chosen in Christ, if they will all be raptured and safe in heaven? (Matthew 24:22; Mark 13:20) Obviously, they will not be raptured. Pre- and Mid-Tribulation Rapture teachers say those people are believers who come to Christ after the Rapture, but if the Rapture happens before Christ returns, the mystery of the gospel will be ended as well, because something significant related to it will have been made evident, and so there is no more work of faith, of which is ESSENTIAL in God's work with the New Covenant. This age, the New Covenant Age, and God's option for salvation in Christ will continue until the very end when He returns to defeat the antichrist and allied armies, which brings up another point.

Most pre-mid-Tribulation Rapture teachers acknowledge the Rapture is when the Lord returns, which scripture points out is with His angels and elect or believers in Christ (Matthew 24:31; Mark 13:27; John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Revelation 19:14; Zechariah/Zecharya 14:5), but then they twist things to say those believers were already raptured. How blind false teachers have become!

Furthermore, the Rapture and resurrection of believers are tied together as promises of Christ in the New Covenant. This promise is for every saved believer. So if believers are saved by Christ after a pre-mid-Tribulation Rapture, then they cannot be a part of the Resurrection. This cannot be. That would negate a great and sure promise of Christ and God's word through Him saying, "And this is the will of [God] who sent Me, that of everything that He has given Me I will lose nothing, but will raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day" (John 6:39-40). The last day here is when the Lord returns for all to see, which is when we are all raptured and resurrected in Christ. It clearly states ALL who believe in Him will be raised up (raptured/resurrected) on that day and Paul also affirms all believers will be raptured as well, saying, "We will all be changed" (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). God never says only believers before or during the Great Tribulation will be changed. He says all believers in Christ.

There are other scriptural points and prophecy that pre-mid-Tribulation teachers claim make them correct, such as a "bridal chamber" where raptured believers will wait out the Tribulation in. They get this from Isaiah/Yeshayahu 26:20's command enter our rooms or chambers and shut the doors to God's indignation (judgment or tribulation) and that it refers to the raptured Bride of Christ hiding from the Great Tribulation in heaven. However, the Lord has already pointed out this scripture to me as already fulfilled and goes with prophecy in Isaiah 24 fulfilling as well (see God's Alarm, COVID-19, and Sukkoth/Tabernacles 2022 for details).

Isaiah 26:20 is part of the Song of the Messiah which is sung in the time of tribulations we've already been going though and shutting the doors has to do with God telling believers to stay indoors while His many judgments and troubles come. This has happened and will be ongoing. It was clearly displayed when the world was shut during the COVID-19 pandemic. So just because the resurrection of the dead was spoken of in verses before Isaiah 26:20 and rooms or chambers were mentioned does not mean it refers to a pre-Tribulation Rapture or to rooms in heaven.

Pre-mid-Tribulation Rapture teachers also dismiss scripture and valid links that the Lord has guided me to see. I already shared some. Let's look at more of them now.

God's people are to suffer great hardship by the Antichrist during the Tribulation as foretold in Daniel 7:21 and Revelation 13:7, and Revelation 20:4 explicitly states the believers who are resurrected in the first resurrection were confronted and killed by the Antichrist, because they did not receive the mark of the beast. How can these people be resurrected here if they were already resurrected in a pre-mid-Tribulation Rapture?

I've seen the church take statements in scripture out of context about the Rapture that note how God will "snatch away" His people, using a word often meaning "to grab suddenly from harm"[2.900.4] (1 Thessalonians 4:17). But even though the "snatching away" or Rapture is true, we cannot jump to conclusions about how or when it happens. Some words referring to "keeping" us from the Tribulation can also be translated as keeping us through it[2.900.8] (Revelation 3:10). This shows how putting more meaning into God's word than is stated leads to error.

More truth about the Rapture is shown by including other scripture with Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 and 20. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 says our gathering up to God will be after the final Antichrist or "man of lawlessness" is revealed, and 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 notes how the dead in Christ will rise first and come with the Lord, then we who are still alive will be caught up in the air with them as well. This is the part of the Rapture the church believes will save her from the Tribulation.

However, the dead in Christ rising refers to the first resurrection of Revelation 20:4-6, which is after the Great Tribulation, because it comes when Christ returns to defeat the Antichrist, False Prophet, and nations gathered together against God in Revelation 19:11-21. This is also affirmed in 2 Thessalonians 2:8 as I quoted earlier - Christ is the one who defeats the man of lawlessness by His return. All believers in Christ are resurrected, raptured, or changed at this time, because we will also reign with the Lord during the Millennial reign after the Antichrist and False Prophet are destroyed and after Satan is locked away to prevent his deceptions of mankind (Revelation 20:1-4).

Christ coming to defeat the Antichrist and False Prophet is also referred to in Daniel 7:21-22. That scripture notes how Christ, referred to as the Ancient of Days or Ancient One as another title for God Almighty, comes after the saints are being overpowered by the Antichrist. This is also when the saints take possession of the kingdom of heaven, which goes with our reigning with God during the Millennial Reign once the Rapture occurs (Daniel 7:22; Revelation 20:4-5).

Other important things to note are that the Lord's two witnesses prophesy during the time of the Antichrist and they will be killed by him in Jerusalem (Revelation 11:3-7). These witnesses are obviously not resurrected (raptured believers), but they believe in Christ, so they, too, will have the Resurrection or Rapture.

After understanding these details, we can see that the church's notion of being saved by the Rapture is not correct. God will spare people during the Tribulation, but it is not how the church expects. It is by righteousness, or more specifically, acts of righteousness and keeping from sin, that will save us from the worst of the Tribulation.

The most important act of righteousness is to get and keep eternal salvation through Christ. That is the door no one can open or shut in Revelation 3:7-8 (John 10:28-29; Romans 8:35-39 also note nothing can take away eternal salvation in Christ). This is very important, because no one is considered the Lord's unless he is truly saved, which goes with Yeshua saying we must be reborn with God's Spirit to enter the kingdom of heaven (John 3:3-7; Romans 8:9).

This happens when we confess our belief in Christ to someone, and to keep our salvation we must keep our faith and must not deny it in front of others. See The True Gospel and Imposters for complete details on how this works.

The Church of Philadelphia in Revelation 3 was/is faithful to uphold those conditions of the New Covenant. They kept His word to acknowledge the Lord and did not deny His name (Revelation 3:8). They held fast to those terms, and were kept from the Tribulation, "the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth" (Revelation 3:10). However, simply remaining loyal to Christ is not the only thing needed to be kept from the worst of the Tribulation, because in Revelation 12, Satan persecutes Christians who are not protected (Revelation 12:17) after he leaves the Bride that is protected (the Bride that got the wings of an eagle to fly to a safe place away from Satan for the time, times, and half a time, a period known to be part of the worst of the Great Tribulation (Revelation 12:14)).

So having eternal salvation in Christ is not the only thing giving us protection. Sin affects us in bad ways and it can have us and our families come to judgment and die prematurely. The enemy constantly accuses us of sin before God (Revelation 12:10), and tries to bring us judgment and curses sooner when the Lord is brought to judge our sin.

To have the best protection from the Tribulation and judgment or curses is to belong to the Lord AND be righteous and blameless as Job/Iyov was. Job was blessed and protected or had "a hedge about him and his house and all that he had on every side" (Job/Iyov 1:10)[3.1.59], because he was righteous, "a blameless and upright man, fearing the Lord Yahovah and turning away from evil" (Job/Iyov 1:8).

Job knew what was right and quoted God, "The fear of the Lord - that is wisdom and to shun evil is understanding" (Job/Iyov 28:28), so shunning evil or keeping from sin and not supporting it are important (Romans 1:32).

And so in Revelation 3:8, to the Church of Philadelphia, righteousness is also important for getting through the Tribulation, because the Lord also said, "I know your deeds." Our righteous deeds or acts or lack of them can affect us, since inaction can also be sin (2 Chronicles/Divrei Hayamim II 19:10; Ezekiel/Yechezkel 3:18-21, 33:6-9; Proverbs/Mishlei 24:11-12; Deuteronomy/Devarim 22:1-4), so to prevent judgment or curses coming on us and our families, we need to try and eliminate sin from our lives. Some sins are not obvious and are discussed in this document and other writings on this site. But more importantly, the Lord has guided me how He will keep His righteous believers safe during the Tribulation. I speak of this more in God's Alarm.

Scripture and its proper interpretation obviously rebukes pre- and mid-Tribulation Rapture doctrine, so do not believe those who teach it. They do not truly understand what they speak of (1 Timothy 1:7), and distort, as they do also the rest of the scriptures, to their own destruction. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled people and lose your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Yeshua Mashiach. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity (2 Peter 3:16-18).

4b. Myth: Division is not from God.
Unity in the People of God is a long-time dream that hasn't been a reality since God brought the Jews out of Egypt. It was soon after their exodus that they worshipped the golden calf (Exodus 32:1-10) and when it was time to take the Promised Land the people rebelled out of fear and insufficient faith (Numbers 13:31-14-38). Sin constantly brought the people at odds with each other and God throughout Biblical history, and the church's history is no different.

Keeping divisions or factions is a sin that can keep people out of the kingdom of heaven as noted in Galatians 5:19-21. Paul also urges us to be united, "I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Yeshua Mashiach - Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another, so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought" (1 Corinthians 1:10).

However, because of sin, judgment, and the spiritual war, it is God's will there is division in God's People and the world. The Parable of the Tares and Wheat make it clear it is God's will that the enemy is in the kingdom until the end of the age. This was brought up a couple times above. For more about it, see the section titled Unity only at the end and the Parable of the Tares and Wheat in The True Gospel and Imposters.

Jesus also said about division, "Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division; for from now on, five members in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law" (Luke 12:51-53).

Other examples where division comes from God are when He divided the Jews into two kingdoms because of King Solomon's idolatry (1 Kings 11:9-13, 11:34-36) and He broke the staffs of Favor and Union to separate God's People further (Zechariah 11:4-14).

4c. Myth: Christ was born on Christmas, December 25th.
There are actually two corroborating methods of calculating Christ's birth to be on Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashana instead of Christmas. See those holidays in The Lord's Holidays and Sabbaths for more information.

4d. Myth: All the church's or Jewish holidays came from God.
During my years in ministry, the Lord taught me how man-made and pagan traditions often get confused with and mixed up with God's holidays and traditions. Jews, Christians, and most people even, are very obstinate about their beliefs and traditions, and claim their holidays and traditions are sacred and therefore should not be touched.

However, I've seen how much error and false belief God's People and the world live in, and have tried to correct myself and teaching to align with the truth instead of keeping to error. If unity in Christ is important to you, then leaving behind bad teaching about God's holidays needs to be a part of living with God as well. See The Lord's Holidays and Sabbaths for more about holidays and sabbaths.

4e1. Myth: The Lord was called by the name Jesus when He was a man on earth.
4e2. Myth: Jesus is the most important and only name of God we need to know.
We need to remember the name Jesus is the English translation of Latin and Greek translations of the Hebrew name "יהוע" (Yeshua/Yehoshua/Joshua). Christ, his family, and disciples spoke Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, so Jesus would not have been called by His English name.

It is important to know God's original names in Hebrew, because those were the ones He gave and stated we are to remember forever (Exodus 3:15). Religious spirits and false-christs also overemphasize the name Jesus and the use of God's other names, as we will see in the section about demons and identifying the enemy.

They make the scripture stating "there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12) a blind to the fuller truth and God's complete character.

A reason to do this is to redirect a person's focus on the false-christ instead of God, because they stand in between you and God to usurp your relationship with God.

We need to remember that "no other name" in Acts 4:12 above refers to God in completeness and His other names, since He said, "I am Yahovah, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another..." (Isaiah 42:8). I used God's given name Yahovah in that quote to make it clear what He said, since most Bibles replace God's Hebrew names with "Lord".

Since Yeshua Mashiach - Jesus Christ is glorified as God and He does not give His glory to another, His name is also Yahovah and is the same person. This backs up the doctrine of the Holy Trinity, and also means imposters of the Lord that use Jesus and any of His other names have stolen God's identity.

After seeing how imposters of the Lord use the name Jesus, I prefer to use God's Hebrew names and am more careful to direct my focus on God in prayer instead of any spirits that may be impersonating Him. I will talk about this more below. See HaShem - The Name for more about God's names and titles.

4f. Myth: Using horoscopes and other fortune telling is harmless.
Fortune telling may seem like a harmless activity, but it is a form of divination and connected with the prophesying Python spirit (Acts 16:16). People who use forms of divination, like making and using horoscopes, tarot cards, numerology, astrology, palm reading, Ouija boards, mediums, and spiritualists invite these spirits into their lives and often get demonic attachments.

We should not use any forms of divination even if they can give you truth. Demons have real powers to prophesy and they use and give truth, but they also lie, mislead, skew the truth, and attach to people, so they cannot be trusted. See Divination, Idolatry and the Curse of False Gospels for more.

Misconceptions & Myths About Demons and Identifying the Enemy

5a1. Myth: Saved believers reborn with the Spirit cannot have demons indwell them.
5a2. Myth: Satan and demons are defeated and can't possess Christians.
The church has erroneously taken New Testament statements of Christ triumphing on the cross to mean Satan and other demons were completely defeated and no longer have power over Christians.

This comes from scripture like Hebrews 2:14, which says, "...through death [Christ] might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil," and Colossians 2:13-15, "When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him."

These verses note how our salvation by the New Covenant gives us triumph over sin and entry into God's kingdom. The triumph over the enemy, rulers, and authorities was that Christ was able to bring the New Covenant, atone for all sin, and was resurrected from death despite all opposition.

These scriptures are not saying Satan and the enemy were or are completely defeated. In fact, the apostle John stated, "...the whole world lies in the power of the evil one [Satan]" (1 John 5:19). And when Apostle Paul talked about the Armor of God, he specifically noted that our fight is still against this enemy - the spiritual rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world and in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12).

This spiritual fight is within as well as among us, as Paul stated about his wretched state of a conflicting nature - being one who wishes to do good but continues to do evil because of the fight with the sin and evil dwelling in him (Romans 7:14-25). However, so many Christians are influenced by bad teaching that many don't believe demons can indwell, control, or "possess" them or even believe they exist at all. This mentality gives the enemy victory over you and the church to affect and control invisibly and through deception by making you think all your thoughts, urges, and spiritual guidance is either your own or from God, when the truth is, those things are mixed up with what demons do and give.

The testimony and knowledge given in this document gives a lot of proof that Satan and demons are not defeated and powerless against Christians. The amount and types of sin you and your ancestors had, as well as God's will, all affect how much demons can influence you.

Preachers and theology scholars, like John MacArthur, who teach that believers cannot be possessed or have demons indwell in them are blinded by their own misconceptions, false teaching, and rejection of witness testimony from ministries and people, like myself, who have much more first-hand experience with demons and spiritual happenings than ministers whose experience is largely academic. Academic scholars have much useful knowledge, but their experience and wisdom is incomplete if they do not accept the truth of how spiritual things really work from those who have personally witnessed them.

In his article, "Can Christians Be Demon-Possessed?," MacArthur uses scripture out of context to try and prove that "true believers" cannot have demons[3.1.111], however, all the references he uses do not state demons cannot affect or indwell believers. Most of the scripture he uses are similar to the ones I quoted above - they are only general references to victory in Christ and eternal salvation and have little to do with how demons affect believers.

MacArthur's use of 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 about not being bound or yoked to unbelievers also does not state that demons cannot indwell believers. That scripture only notes we should not partner with unbelievers because their desires, thinking, and morality is ruled more by dark worldly and spiritual forces than Godly ones.

MacArthur is correct that there is no irrefutably clear example in the Bible of a believer being inhabited or invaded by a demon, however, verses related to the apostles Paul and Peter can be instances of them having indwelling demons.

When Jesus rebukes Peter by saying, "Get behind Me, Satan!" after he tried to go against God's plan to have Jesus suffer and die (Matthew 16:21-23; Mark 8:31-33), could have been Christ addressing thoughts and actions given to Peter by a demon either within or around him.

A hard truth the church is often unwilling to accept is that everyone is born with demons from generational curses today because of the prevalence of sin, such as from an ancestral history of divination, false teaching, fortune telling, witchcraft, and other sins can bring spirits, like Python, a fortune telling spirit, into future generations. A family history of anger, thievery, or sexual sins transmits spirits of those types into descendants, and ancestral histories in false teachings or dark spiritualism can spread religious spirits in the same way.

Yeshua - Jesus was the only human who was born with none of those dark influences. But demons did try to influence Him externally, like when Satan tried to tempt Him in the wilderness.

A clearer example of a demon affecting a believer is Paul's "thorn in the flesh" (2 Corinthians 12:7-9). It was a demon, "messenger of Satan," that tormented him so that he would remain humble despite the great revelations God gave him (2 Corinthians 12:7). Paul asked the Lord to take it away three times, but the Lord did not take away the demon and replied, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:8-9).

Knowing how demons affect people, that they can indwell saved and reborn believers with the Spirit, and seeing that Paul stated his demon was a "thorn in the flesh," I know he was speaking of a demon that was indwelling his body.

This is not so uncommon as most people, especially in the church, think. I already noted that people are simply born with demons, but most people are unaware of how they are influenced by them. How much they affect a person depends on the sins and urges they have hooks in as well, for example, sexual and religious spirits have more influence in situations related to sex and false teaching, respectively. Most of the time, though, the control spirits have over you is not detectable, especially if you deny they exist or have influence on you.

I have also personally witnessed professing Christians be controlled or "possessed" by indwelling demons, especially during deliverances. Demons also more easily come forward to take control when a person becomes excessively intoxicated from alcohol or drugs, or when they are in certain mental states, like during meditation or when spiritual mediums allow demons to speak and act through them.

However, demons can manifest to control and speak through a person at any time depending on the sins and curses the person has. Their state of eternal salvation in Christ has nothing to do with it. I personally know of instances where believers had demons act and speak through them while they were completely sober and conscious.

Ministers like MacArthur would say that these believers are not "true believers" or truly saved into God's kingdom and "converted" by showing a desire and active life of righteousness[3.1.111]. However, stating that is an arrogant error of the church and a part of false gospels that depend on works of righteousness.

The true gospel does not depend on works for us to have eternal life in Christ, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). However, faith alone is also just the beginning of salvation and not the only thing necessary to be eternally saved into God's kingdom. For a detailed discussion of that see The True Gospel and Imposters.

Paul would rebuke ministers, like MacArthur, today by telling them about the man he gave over to Satan for the "destruction of his flesh" or premature death, because he married his mother or step-mother (1 Corinthians 5:1-5). This was done because he was living in a great sin and so "his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Yeshua - Jesus [when He returns]" (1 Corinthians 5:5). That clearly notes how sin in general does not take away our eternal salvation in Christ (see The True Gospel and Imposters for more details).

We have no place to say that a confessing believer who falls in sin is not saved. Yeshua - Jesus made people think about their own judging and state of sin when a mob wanted to stone a woman caught in adultery. Jesus said, He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her. Everyone ended up leaving without doing anything (John 8:3-11).

Instead of making unrighteous judgment, keeping to erroneous doctrine, and dismissing the testimony of many witnesses to the truth, believers, especially ministers, should examine their sins, beliefs, and practices that have given the enemy hooks into them. Accepting this reality and knowing how and why the enemy affects you, allows the removal of their hooks. Without this knowledge and correcting the sins they attach to, we cannot be permanently be rid of demons in this age. They will simply come back, sometimes worse, if sin persists (Matthew 12:43-45; Luke 11:24-26). See this testimony for further proof.

5b1. Myth: Satan and demons cannot read your mind.
5b2. Myth: Satan and demons cannot influence your thoughts or emotions.
5b3. Myth: Satan and demons cannot influence your senses or perception.
Spirits, whether angels or demons, can influence us, read minds, and give thoughts, visions, dreams, etc. without indwelling or possessing us, so these powers are normal for spirits.

The Bible has many examples of this, such as dreams given by God through His Spirit or angels when Jacob saw the ladder to heaven at Bethel (Genesis 28:12-15), when a pharaoh and King Nebuchadnezzar were warned about the future (Genesis 41:1-32; Daniel 2:1-45, 4:4-37), when Joseph, husband of Mary, wanted to divorce her (Matthew 1:19-25), when they had to flee to Egypt (Matthew 2:13-15), and twice again when they should return (Matthew 2:19-23). The magi or wise men who came to see Yeshua - Jesus when He was born were also warned by God in a dream to not go back to King Herod (Matthew 2:12).

People with demons, either in or around them, can converse with them entirely within their minds. This is evident in witness testimonies of people encountering demons and can feel their influence without being possessed or having an attachment from sin, such as feeling intense rage, hate, fear, etc. when the demons are around. I've heard testimony where everyone near the demon felt its effects, which goes with the next myth 5c. Myth: Satan and demons can only affect one person at a time.

False-christ spirits and other demons often communicate through a "mind voice," especially during quiet meditation or prayer time. God's word, though, is "audible" in that it sounds like a real person speaking to you in the world. This is shown in 1 Samuel 3:3-10 where Samuel repeatedly went to his mentor Eli when the Lord called Samuel's name. However, after two times of Eli denying he called him, he told Samuel it was the word of the Lord.

However, audible words and sounds can be faked by the enemy as well. They can influence all of a person's senses, so having audible spiritual guidance is not a foolproof test that things are from God.

5c. Myth: Satan and demons can only affect one person at a time.
Spirits and demons are not physically bound to one place at a time as we think of most people and objects. I realized this some years ago when I heard a popular spiritualist on the radio who has the gift to deliver people from demons.

After delivering someone, he noted how he delivered siblings from a similar demon that gave them bad dreams - the same dream at the very same moment, even though they were hundreds of miles apart. This ability of spirits to influence people over great distances at the same time can also be seen in Take His Heart's "Golden Meetings," which they conduct with people around the world by Internet and phone.

After seeing how demons could affect people over any distance at the same time, I realized shared revelations from demons during group prayer or meditation was also shown by Paramahansa Yognanda when he and another person shared a vision while they meditated together, I believe in his book The Yoga of Jesus: Understanding the Hidden Teachings of the Gospels.

I started to read the book when someone suggested it while I was debating Christianity in 2008. I cannot find the book available to read online anymore to give an exact reference, but I noted this after reading a few pages. I did not read any more of the book at the time, which was a good thing because I now understand it has harmful teaching in it.

Paramahansa practiced meditative spiritualism and taught false teachings or what he titled "hidden teachings" about Christ and the gospels that tried to unite Christianity with Yoga, which belongs to spiritual beliefs and practices like Buddhism and Hinduism[3.1.37]. Most of these Eastern philosophies deny Christ as truly Lord God and Savior, so can be quickly dismissed as false teaching. See 1 John 4:2-3 (below) and 5f. Myth: Satan and demons cannot make miracles, signs, or wonders for more.

I also read in The Miracle Detective by Randall Sullivan about shared spiritual influence with the apparition of the Virgin Mary of Medjugorje and her believers, which I do not believe is the true Virgin Mary.

Take His Heart believes shared revelation among many people at once is a sign things are from God. I also thought it was a good sign that guidance was valid, but after realizing demons can affect many people at the same time over any distance and that Take His Heart is getting a lot of false guidance, I knew shared revelation could not be used to test validity for guidance from God.

5d. Myth: Rebuking the enemy will keep demons away.
This false belief mainly comes from James 4:7, "Resist the devil and he will flee from you," as well as faith in our standing as Christians to use God's name with power. Rebuking the enemy can work, but it will be temporary if sin gives them hooks in you. See John Dau's Dream for more information.

5e. Myth: Satan and demons cannot give truth.
Truth is truth no matter who gives it. Demons also have real spiritual powers to prophesy or tell the future. They also know scripture better than we do and use truth to mislead us, so they can skew it and make us misinterpret scripture or spiritual guidance from God. I will give more specific examples in the next section about the enemy's tactics.

5f. Myth: Satan and demons cannot make miracles, signs, or wonders.
Satan and demons were all God's angels who all have spiritual powers of one kind or another. Satan can make fire come out of the sky (Job 1:16; Revelation 13:13), and I've witnessed all kinds of supernatural things from demons, like psychokinesis, telling the future, physical objects materializing and dematerializing, and computers and electronics being controlled.

Imposters of the Lord, saints, and angels have used these powers to make miracles and wonders that get people to worship Mother Mary and other saints and angels. This is the activity of Satan who uses "all power and signs and false wonders" (2 Thessalonians 2:9).

Islam was founded by Muhammad who claimed to be taught by God's archangel Gabriel[5.1.1]. However, the spirit must have been an imposter, because Islam also teaches that Yeshua - Jesus was not Lord and Savior, but just a man who was a prophet, which does not pass the test of 1 John 4:2-3, "By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Yeshua Mashiach -  Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Yeshua - Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world."

However, this test does not work with false-christs or false-holy-spirits that actually claim to be God in that form.

5g. Myth: Evil spirits only come from Satan.
This misconception is related to 2c Myth: Curses and other bad things don't come from God where I noted how God brings both the good and bad.

He also created all the angels, which includes Satan and demons, and has control over them. That doesn't mean all their activity is directly from God or is His will. God gives them domains to reign and act in, which is why they are called powers, principalities, and authorities (Ephesians 6:12).

God uses demons and wicked spirits for whatever He wishes. He sent a wicked spirit to King Saul (1 Samuel 16:14-15, 18:10, 19:9) and between Abimelech and the men of Shechem (Judges 9:23). God decided to let one of His heavenly host be a lying spirit to entice King Ahab into battle (1 Kings 22:19-23; 2 Chronicles 18:18-22).

God also used Satan to test Job, and Apostle Paul gave people over to Satan to be disciplined and judged (1 Corinthians 5:5; 1 Timothy 1:20). The man given over to Satan in 1 Corinthians 5:5 also has importance in understanding salvation in Christ. See The True Gospel and Imposters for details.

God continues to use Satan and wicked spirits to this day for our testing, training, and maturation as His disciples. I know much of my trials and hardships with spiritual warfare were predestined for me to go through (see my Personal About Page for details), and I'm certain others have had similar experiences to test and mature them as well.
Examples of false guidance and the enemy's tactics 4/15/2019
Updated 8/1/2022

Before I begin this section, I want to note that the ministries and people I refer to here are well-meaning Christians and do get some good guidance from God. They don't realize how much the enemy has blinded them and that much of their interpretations, teaching, and spiritual guidance, like words, signs, and wonders, are influenced and given by the enemy. Much of the church is like this - unaware of how much the enemy influences them and their teaching.

I won't diminish people's contributions to God's work and the truth they were given, since sometimes I also needed what they got to get a more complete picture of the truth and spiritual war. We need each other as I said before (Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-26; 1 Corinthians 3:3-9), so do not judge anyone for being misled or for holding to their false beliefs. It is very difficult to come out of them. Instead, judge and examine what is shared and taught, and reject and leave behind false teaching.

Earlier I talked about the Armor of God and how further knowledge about the truth and righteousness will strengthen your armor. Apostle Paul said we need all of its pieces, "the full armor of God, so you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). And in 2 Corinthians 2:5-11, Paul urges forgiveness, which goes with the righteousness part of God's Armor, "so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes." In this section I will reveal the schemes of the enemy that I have seen. Some of it includes false teaching, which are the "deep things of Satan" Christ refers to in Revelation 2:24.

The enemy has many ways or hooks into us, which almost always is because of sin, though sometimes God allows them to attack us for our teaching and maturing as I noted in the last Myth 5g: Evil spirits only come from Satan.

Most of my examples come from two ministries being misled by false-christ spirits. Take His Heart Ministries and God Calling, which was a book given to me by Roy Sauzek at Take His Heart.

God Calling also has their own ministry and website, though, the original anonymous Two Listeners who wrote the book are now long deceased. One died in the 1940's and the other in the 1960's according to the book's notes[3.1.74]. They also wrote the book God Calling 2: God At Eventide, which contains guidance from the same false-christ spirit that gave guidance for the first book (Note: The book, Jesus Calling, by a different author is a similar devotional compilation I evaluated to have also come from a false-christ spirit. See Ministry Warnings for more).

I should also note the Two Listeners started getting guidance from their false-christ because they were following methods given by Arthur James Russell (A.J. Russell) in his book For Sinners Only. Arthur was also the editor for the God Calling books.

The method of getting spiritual guidance A. J. Russell talked about is very similar to how Take His Heart teaches - write down spiritual guidance you get when trying to listen to God in quiet surroundings. This is very much the same thing that spiritual teachers using meditation teach, like Paramahansa Yognanda, the yogi who I talked about in 5c. Myth: Satan and demons can only affect one person at a time above.

Getting guidance from God like this sounds fine to many people and appears to be a good way to follow God, but we cannot mix false guidance with good guidance if we truly want to follow God. This means we should not try to interpret every spiritual thing we get, because false guidance and lies will only taint the truth, and even more important, interpretation belongs to God, not man (2 Peter 1:20-21; Genesis 40:8), so even if you get good, untainted guidance from the Lord, you must not jump to conclusions about spiritual guidance and understand how to let God interpret.

Take His Heart teaches that the false guidance is relatively harmless and that it will "fall away" in Roy's words when the complete picture is shown in journals of spiritual guidance. They call these connected pictures of spiritual guidance "flowcharts," and say they are God's interpretation and infallible. However, we'll see why this is incorrect.

This false teaching of journaling all spiritual guidance you get only gives the enemy more hooks when people constantly go after and record false guidance. The practice of journaling or flowcharting spiritual guidance does not defeat the prophesying Python spirit, as they teach or actually Roy said the Lord told him[3.1.67].

Take His Heart's methods and "flowcharting" actually does the opposite of what they claim, which goes the same with A. J. Russell's, God Calling's, and other meditative prayer methods - they are forms of divination that invite false-christs and other demons to give false guidance.

These practices of regularly trying to get spiritual guidance through silence, prayer, and/or meditation also invites prophetic gluttony when people think they are hearing God and having truly God-led lives. The realization of having God-given guidance to share also makes people feel important and that they should not fail God by letting it be forgotten or remain private. This takes advantage of naive innocence to blindly accept false guidance and teaching and often prompts people to share it publicly.

When we think we have an infallible and secure channel to speak with God, we start to ask about everything and even become afraid to act or live without this spiritual guidance. However, getting and sharing spiritual guidance easily becomes addictive and can lead to attention seeking behavior when it's shared. I've seen many people fall to this form of idolatry on the Internet.

Spiritual teachings that urge getting a lot of spiritual guidance also cultivate excessive dependency on whoever is giving the guidance, which in this case are demon imposters of God. This creates absolute dependence on someone and is a power-control tactic used by abusive people and organizations.

These are steps into the spiritual brainwashing that I brought up, but maybe worse than being brainwashed is these methods of seeking and recording spiritual guidance gives the enemy more hooks into you and your life, because they actually "infect" things used for the divination that contain the false guidance, like computers and journals.

This is similar to how Ouija boards and other objects used for divination get infected by demons. I heard a testimony of someone who tried to dispose of a Ouija board in a fire and it screamed. I've also seen testimony of other objects being infected or inhabited by spirits and demons, so demonic attachment to both people and objects is a truth the mature believer needs to understand.

Destroying these "possessed" objects is a way to get rid of the demons attached to them. However, when people continue in methods of false teachings, divination, and false beliefs, they will continue to have false-christs and other demons influence them and their possessions.

It was many years ago that I rejected most of Take His Heart's teachings and realized that guidance given in the God Calling book actually contradicted what Take His Heart's spirit told them, so they could not both be God or the same false-christ spirit.

Take His Heart often gets guidance that the walls of Jericho fell because of obedience to God's commands. Obedience is emphasized, which is also a part in brainwashing people to get their absolute obedience. The New Testament on the other hand emphasizes faith for the walls of Jericho falling (Hebrews 11:30) and not obedience, though obedience prompted by faith is noted for Abraham (Hebrews 11:8, 11:17).

Obedience to God's commands is an important part of following God (see True Love - What does it mean to God? Are Soulmates real? for more), but we must obey God and not lies and imposters.

God Calling claims it was songs of praise that brought down Jericho, and very specifically says nothing but faith and God's power, "the only two essentials" are all that is needed to bring down "all walls" like Jericho[3.1.81]. Faith is also overemphasized in God Calling where it says faith is the "only requisite to accomplish mighty deeds"[3.1.79].

Roy of Take His Heart, though, emphasized obeying God's instructions exactly[3.1.69], and claimed the Jews were completely silent or didn't speak a word for the whole seven days before Jericho fell (presumably the whole 40,000 of the army and others who went to Jericho (Joshua 4:13)).

Roy was noting Joshua 6:10, where it says Joshua commanded the people, "You shall not shout nor let your voice be heard nor let a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I tell you, 'Shout!' Then you shall shout!" However, keeping silent was not given as part of the Lord's instructions to Joshua in Joshua 6:2-5 where He tells Joshua what to do to bring down Jericho. It is possible the Lord told or inspired him to keep the people silent, but that was not recorded in scripture.

If all the people were silent the whole time then God Calling's songs of praise from the people bringing down Jericho also contradicts Take His Heart's teaching. These contradictions between Take His Heart's teaching and God Calling made me realize the two spirits were not God or the same false-christ.

Take His Heart's spirit uses the metaphor of obedience at Jericho with performing "single cup communion" to enact more Jericho victories. They were told to replace traditional communion (the breaking of bread and drinking of juice or wine) with this single-cup communion[3.1.51], and Roy said it was related to the church not needing to do things to remember the Lord, however, the truly devoted Bride would not need a communion ritual of any kind to remember Him.

They were also guided by this spirit to start using a lot of silent prayer for spiritual warfare[3.1.69]. They reported miracles and successes in deliverances because of it, but that is no different from their reported successes over the years, because of their other practices that emphasize divination and obedience to the false guidance they got. We cannot attribute all miracles to God, since many false ones are from imposters of the Lord and His angels and saints, like apparitions of the Mother Mary that are not truly her.

Could one and not both of these spirits from Take His Heart or God Calling be God? It's actually more complicated than that, because I believe Take His Heart is being guided by God as well as demons, which is the most common scenario in the church today. I can't say the same thing for God Calling, which appears to be only one false-christ speaking. I also know Take His Heart's and God Calling's guidance contradict each other and both give false guidance that contradict God's nature and scripture.

In the case of Take His Heart, though, since they believe in the guidance of God Calling, they could be led by God and more than one false-christ, as well as other demons. It's also possible they only have one false-christ that changed how it guides, but from the false guidance I've seen from them and other ministries with false-christs and false-holy-spirits, they are likely different imposter spirits.

Take His Heart did and does get important revelations and truth, except it gets skewed by false guidance and the false teaching they accepted. I've found this is also the case for the majority of the church as well.

Take His Heart and God Calling both also used the same methods of "killing the self" and other brainwashing practices to emphasize obedience and adoration or more carnal, worldly ways of loving God that use our love and enthusiasm for God against us to get obedience.

The brainwashing you get when you believe in lies and false teaching is so complete that you simply dismiss inconsistencies in guidance and give "God" the benefit of doubt, even after you recognize false teachings align with brainwashing techniques. This is how followers of Take His Heart and other misled ministries and denominations behave with guidance and interpretation that is questionable. It is no different than an abused spouse giving her abuser unquestioning and complete authority over her life despite knowing she is being abused.

When I went through God Calling's guidance again to write this article, I found even more contradictions between Take His Heart's and God Calling's teachings, especially about how we are saved. When I was a young Christian, I was completely blind to these contradictions, like Take His Heart continues to be, and like the church is also blind to the truth, even when shown scripture that disproves false teaching, because they do not know enough and are unwilling to reject false teaching.

As you go through the following examples of false guidance, I will note some go with brainwashing and power-control techniques, many of which were identified after the Korean War by studying testimony from prisoners of war[6.3.5, 6.3.6, 6.3.1, 6.3.2, 6.3.3]. These tactics are used to get people's absolute dependence and obedience, which is not how God wants us to follow Him.

Examples of false guidance from Take His Heart include:
  • Take His Heart's 3 Spots Teaching about correcting some major false beliefs and sin in the church only has partial truth. Their teaching about correcting three spots in the church have all been tainted by false guidance, which I will discuss in detail here and in other documents.

    The 3 Spots are:

    1. How we are saved by the New Covenant
    2. Tithing correctly
    3. How to follow the Holy Spirit

    Take His Heart
also claims that walking in their notion of Brideship to correct the three spots are the "righteous acts of the saints" in Revelation 19:7-8 that make the church or Bride ready to wed the Lord and complete the marriage of the Lamb, as well as enable people to attend God's Marriage Feast (Matthew 22:1-14; 25:10). They teach their Brideship covenant is the only way God weds His People.

Their notion of Brideship includes mandatory tithing as well as mandatory keeping up with getting and following guidance from God. However, since their teaching about all three spots, as well as other guidance, is tainted with false guidance, their guidance about Brideship or walking "in covenant" with God, as they call it, is also false teaching.

    Take His Heart's
notions of being in covenant or "total covenant" is being in sync or perfect synch with God, respectively, and presumably leads to the totally spotless Bride. However, it is impossible to be in perfect synch and/or sinless when there is so much false guidance and teaching.

Christ did say, "Be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect" (Matthew 5:48), but He was speaking in the context of loving people when He said that, and God does not expect us to be perfect and definitely not sinless, since no one but the Lord is without sin (Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 John 3:5, 2 Corinthians 5:21). God allows and expects us to fail (Romans 11:32), and trying to be absolutely perfect will be very disappointing, because it is unattainable.

Paul warned us of this mentality of perfection through acts or works: "Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh [or works]?" (Galatians 3:3).

However, we can strive to be perfected into maturity, unity, and righteousness (James 1:2-4; John 17:23; 1 John 2:3-6), and the Lord does want a People prepared for Him, not perfect but prepared (Luke 1:17). That is the reason for this document and much of the teaching on this site.

    Take His Heart
believes they are preparing God's People as He wants, but the false guidance being highlighted here makes it clear their ways are not God's.

The actual being married to God is not Brideship, but goes with the fulfillment of the conditions of the New Covenant, so we are reborn with God's Spirit and truly belong to the Lord. That is the mystery Apostle Paul was talking about related to marriage and the church in Ephesians 5:31-32.

This mystery of the "two shall become one flesh" of the church and Christ, happens through faith in Christ and becoming truly saved by the New Covenant. We literally become one flesh with God when we are reborn by His Spirit, which is a requirement to enter God's kingdom (John 3:3-8).

That is what Paul refers to in Galatians 3:3, "Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit," and Ephesians 5:31-32 above. It is our spiritual rebirth from the New Covenant (Christ's atonement of our sins) and God's Spirit within us that makes us perfect or complete to be with Christ in the next life and part of His kingdom, not any other works of righteousness. See The True Gospel and Imposters for more details about how we are saved.

Our perfection through the New Covenant isn't through acts or sinlessness, which varies greatly from individual to individual. Though, for the church to be prepared for Christ's return, we do need to remove more sin from our lives. This will be made clearer as we continue.

    Take His Heart
teaches that walking in the three steps of Brideship to correct the three spots fulfills God's marriage covenant, however they are missing the point that fulfilling the New Covenant itself, which rebirths us with God's Spirit, and keeping the covenant's terms already completes God's marriage covenant with His People.

Their Brideship steps do include having eternal salvation in Christ, which is an obvious necessity to belong to God through Christ, but their teaching in that is tainted as well. See the next point about "repeat after me" statements.

    Take His Heart's
Brideship also requires mandatory tithing and special treatment of tithe money and the effort to follow God as they teach by regularly seeking spiritual guidance and making journals and flowcharts to get revelations from it, which is actually a form of divination, as I said.

I still believe God's tithe is sacred and truly belongs to Him (Deuteronomy 26:13), and so needs special treatment, but Take His Heart has been misled with false guidance, false miracles, and false signs to believe in mandatory tithing for everyone. They often claim tithing correctly and paying back debt to God gives special blessings and protection from curses, but they only got partial truths that were misconstrued. Many people never se special protection or miracles from tithing as Take His Heart reports, though I'm certain all are blessed for giving to people who need God's money, which is righteousness that is blessed (see Properly Handling God's Money and Our Taxes for details).

It is true that handling God's tithes and other money incorrectly does bring curses, but other sins and righteousness also play factors in the blessings and protection we get from God. Take His Heart was misled to overemphasize false doctrines of tithing, even though there was some truth to it. Over the years, the Lord guided me on how to correct teaching on tithes and offerings and even gave physical proofs to affirm how I teach it is correct (see Properly Handling God's Money and Our Taxes... for more).

Take His Heart claims getting spiritual knowledge counts as a blessing from Malachi 3, which may be true. I also got much spiritual knowledge and guidance from God, but that started well before I even knew about Take His Heart and their teachings, and before I started tithing regularly.

Instead of promised protections from tithing and Brideship, I've seen it reported that more curses and bad things come from Take His Heart's teachings than good.

Their mandatory following of God's Spirit by their methods is also full of problems, which I will talk about. If you think about how they say we must fulfill their version of Brideship to complete God's marriage and be included in His Marriage Feast (Matthew 22:1-14; 25:10), then a lot of Christians and even the first disciples of Yeshua - Jesus will not participate, since I do not believe they taught mandatory tithing or followed God's Spirit or conducted spiritual meetings or journaled spiritual guidance as Take His Heart teaches. Yet I firmly believe they and other Christians and believers who are not "in covenant" as Take His Heart teaches will be included in God's Wedding Feast.

  • Take His Heart is spreading a spirit of slavery with their Brideship teaching, which includes mandatory tithing for everyone, whether Christian or not. They give a lot of focus to tithing incorrectly or not at all as a sin that causes many of the curses seen in the church.

I don't blame them for this thinking, because the guidance they got told them people die and suffer from not tithing or tithing incorrectly. This was plausible because the spiritual signs they reported seemed authentic.

However, they only got partial truths that were twisted by the enemy with bad interpretations and false signs to back it up. The curses seen in the church, like cancer and serious illnesses, premature death, etc., are caused by much more than tithe or money related sin.

I must also note the enemy does mislead the church and people with false signs and wonders, which is the activity of Satan noted in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10. I saw an example of this on YouTube a few years ago.

The video is no longer available for some reason, but a man named Mike Chen recounted his experience as a young child when he prayed to Santa - the world's notion of Santa Claus at the North Pole and not the saint. He asked Santa for money and a couple days later he stumbled on a $20 bill. He thought it was a miracle from Santa Claus, but I don't think it was the true St. Nicholas or God responding to him.

I now know the enemy gives people and the church a lot of false signs and miracles, and Mike's experience is another example. I don't believe he was a Christian or had any notion of the true saint or God when he prayed to Santa. He didn't mention any of that in his video, so I believe this was a false sign from the enemy to give further belief to the twisted notion of Christmas and St. Nicholas that the enemy has introduced and perpetuated.

In the same way, I don't believe all of Take His Heart's signs and miracles are truly from God. If you study apparitions of Mother Mary and other saints and angels, you can see many more examples of the church being deceived with false signs and miracles. The book, Miracle Detective, by Randall Sullivan talks about many.

However, I still do believe some of the church's curses are because she mishandles tithes and offerings. I address the details of that in Properly Handling God's Money and Our Taxes, and God gave more physical evidence of this sin in His 383 guidance and 43,44 guidance. Mandatory tithing, though, cannot be a major source of curses in the church as Take His Heart believes, because I've seen plenty of Christians who do not tithe, yet still live very long lives without the kind of curses Take His Heart claims are from tithing.

In fact, maybe the worse thing I saw with Take His Heart's 3 Spots Brideship teaching is that it spreads a literal spirit of slavery. Their false-christ spirit(s) are actually spirits of slavery that retaliate when people reject their ways.

They give false curses for committing false sin, if we retaliate or displease them, which they can do because God gives them domains and authority to work in. Demons are called princes and rulers or authorities for that reason (Daniel 10:13, 10:20; Ephesians 6:12). We don't give our lives to demons, but that's what can happen, and unfortunately, if you submit to them and their ways (false teaching), even ignorantly, you give them that control over you because you submit yourself to their domain or rule. This is a snare of the devil that holds people captive to do his will (2 Timothy 2:26).

God does not give people a demon that shackles them if they stop tithing, but that is exactly what happened to someone named Tam or Tamlyn when she stopped tithing as Take His Heart teaches. She told Roy that she started becoming clumsy and had other curses when she stopped tithing, but both Tam and Roy did not recognize this as a spirit of slavery influencing her.

Tam also stated she was getting sick often and troubles, even though she was tithing as Take His Heart teaches.

This spirit of slavery cannot be from following God. We should not be getting demons when we try following God, and Paul said we do not get a spirit of slavery leading to fear again with Christ (Romans 8:15). And "it was for freedom that Mashiach - Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery" (Galatians 5:1).

Yeshua - Jesus also said, "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30).

We are no longer slaves to law under the New Covenant, but that is what Take His Heart is spreading with mandatory tithing and the other mandatory acts of Brideship.

God wants our loyalty and obedience, but He does not force people to follow His ways with threats of constant harm. He usually just leaves people alone if they don't want to change (Psalm 81:11-12; Proverbs 1:23-33). He doesn't give us demons to control us if we don't want to walk in some rules. That never happened in the Bible.

However, Take His Heart, God Calling, and many other ministries like them are spreading demons or spirits of slavery that try to control people very literally. They actually try to control you and inflict harm if you do not want to follow them, and that is true for other sects of religion as well, which is a big reason why people in other religions fear angering the "gods" when they don't follow their religious rules or teachings.

Take His Heart and God Calling type of teachings also align with brainwashing techniques in that they emphasize the constant threat of harm, they promise and overexaggerate blessings and safety when strictly obeyed, and they channel guilt with false sin, like not tithing, to reject old beliefs so a new identity with deceivingly desirable alternatives are accepted.

Brideship makes sense to believers who are not knowledgeable about twisted truth. It seems to be the correct way into God's kingdom, handle and distribute God's money, and follow God by His Spirit that gives special blessings and protection, but it's all too good to be true. The enemy was in Take His Heart's guidance early in their ministry and tainted everything, especially when they continued to get more guidance to follow with their methods.

  • Take His Heart also teaches that money given to the tithe can't be spent on just anything, but must be given only directly to people who are servants of Christ, the poor and oppressed, widows in need, the fatherless and orphans, and aliens or foreigners to Christ. They are very strict about it and teach no funds from the tithe should go anywhere else, not even a cent to festivals, taxes, or transaction fees that I've been guided by the Lord (and shown with scripture) is fine to pay from the tithe.

The actual truth about the tithe for the Christian Age was twisted by their demons. Take His Heart was only shown a smaller picture of how the tithe was actually used in the Old Testament and they completely dismissed how it was used in the New Testament because of the false teaching they got. There is still truth to the tithe needing special treatment, which I share the details of in Properly Handling God's Money and Our Taxes.

  • Take His Heart teaches that repeat-after-me statements do not satisfy the New Covenant's condition to acknowledge Christ in front of people. This condition is discussed more fully in The True Gospel and Imposters. We basically need to state or express to someone else that we believe in Christ.

    Take His Heart
claims testimonials back up their teaching, such as where people think they were saved only when they properly confessed their faith in Yeshua - Jesus and not by repeat-after-me statements they've done before. Some people claimed they felt energy or something go through their bodies when they did a proper confession.

However, I don't believe all of these testimonies are truly examples from God of being reborn by the Holy Spirit. Why were testimonies like this never mentioned by the church in all its very long history? As far as I know, it only became apparent with guidance from Take His Heart. I believe some of their guidance and testimony about being reborn after confessing faith is valid, but not the guidance about repeat after me statements being invalid expressions of faith in Christ.

This false belief has made Take His Heart's version of the gospel a false one, even though the more important mechanics of the New Covenant that we teach are the same - we must acknowledge faith in Christ in front of people to be reborn with God's Spirit and enter His Kingdom, and we must not deny that faith in front of others.

There should be no reason why a repeat after me led by someone else would not be considered valid by God as long as they understand what they are saying. They simply must have true faith or belief in Christ when they make a repeat after me statement, like "I believe in Yeshua - Jesus" or "Yeshua - Jesus is Lord."

    Take His Heart
claims repeat after me's don't work because the statement of faith in Christ must come from our own "heart" or actually mind, and not someone else's. That makes no sense when you think more deeply and consider other repeat after me statements.

God considers other repeat after me's to be valid, such as swearing an oath to tell the truth or marriage vows. Why should the New Covenant be different? The only reasons I can think of why repeat after me's would not work to satisfy acknowledging Christ, is if people stating them don't truly believe in Christ or they aren't paying attention to what they are saying or doing.

Furthermore, Take His Heart and I teach the other condition of the New Covenant about denying the Lord will cost eternal salvation. If you perform a repeat after me to deny the Lord, even though you still believe in Him or don't really mean to deny Him, wouldn't God still count it as denying Him publicly, just like Peter did three times? When you consider these other situations with repeat-after-me's, it becomes obvious Take His Heart's guidance is false (I was also guided about Peter's denials being important to teach about the New Covenant's terms. See The True Gospel and Imposters for details).

  • Take His Heart's guidance about how to follow God's Spirit is false and misconstrued. Their spirit(s) taught them to always "compare spiritual with spiritual" or "things of the spirit" and never throw away any guidance when trying to follow God[3.1.57]. This is why they teach to keep journals of spiritual guidance.

Comparing spiritual with spiritual references 1 Corinthians 2:13 about revelation from God's Spirit, "we speak, not in the words which man's wisom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."

I quote the KJV translation because that is the one Roy Sauzek of Take His Heart used. However, Roy and Take His Heart have been misled to always compare spiritual things, which Roy says could be any spiritual guidance, like words, visions, dreams, etc. The theory is, if you build up enough spiritual things over time it will make a picture that needs no interpretation, like puzzle pieces coming together, which is supposed to be God's interpretation of the guidance.

This would work fine if there were no demons or imposters of the Lord giving false guidance and false interpretations. I noted earlier how Take His Heart teaches to record everything and just ignore false guidance, and that it would simply "fall away." However, I can say that including false guidance with good guidance is sure to give the wrong picture of things and will not give God's interpretation, but whatever interpretation the pieces seem to show based on what you know or believe, which will be influenced by lies and false guidance if you're getting things from imposters as well as the Lord.

This is the case for the great majority, if not all the church, since I know of no one who is completely immune from the enemy's influences, because of sin, God's will, and how widespread false teaching and the enemy is in the church and world. I am only much more resistant to these influences because the Lord brought me to understand and be freed of them through much experience in shifting through spiritual guidance and teaching of all kinds.

The enemy had nearly two thousand years to get and keep strongholds in the church, and they won't go away until the end of the age, as I already noted. I also know the enemy's strongholds in the church began very early in the church's history, even by about 100 AD, because of early church documents I have seen already showed doctrines of false gospels and teaching.

So the plain truth is, God's truth gets skewed and good guidance turns into false teaching that brainwashes you when you get false guidance mixed with good guidance. Take His Heart and most of the church and other believing sects are blind to this, because they accept too much false guidance and teaching.

The Lord gave me an analogy with the air disasters in Boeing 737 Max 8 airplanes to illustrate how Take His Heart's teaching to use false guidance leads to catastrophic failures. When I heard about the last 737 Max crash in Ethiopia and that faulty angle-of-attack (AOA) sensors could have caused the last two Max 8 crashes, I felt there was a connection with Take His Heart's methods of following spiritual guidance was also faulty and very disastrous.

I've heard Roy say a few times that their procedures have "checks and balances," so they truly hear from God and get the correct interpretation of things. He mainly meant their use of a group of people, usually from 4 to 12, in their spiritual meetings to get guidance, which they would put together and use the "majority vote" or guidance that all appeared to point in one direction as God's answer to things.

The problem with this is, they are unaware of or completely dismiss that demons can influence many people at once and over great distances, which I talked about in 5c. Myth: Satan and demons can only affect one person at a time. So false guidance, like words and visions, that corroborate are easily faked by the enemy no matter how many people or how far away the people are from each other. I did tell Roy that the enemy could do this many years ago, but he never responded on it, and Take His Heart hasn't changed their ways since.

When I researched the sensors and 737 Max crashes, I found that the sensors had a history of failing[6.7.1, 6.7.2, 6.7.3] and there was at least one fatal crash associated with the same kind of AOA sensors in an Airbus A320 airplane in 2008[6.7.1].

Both Airbus and Boeing planes use redundant AOA sensors. Airbus uses three while Boeing uses two[6.7.1], however, how they are used caused problems when one or more failed and the airplanes' automatic systems thought the engines were going to stall, and so the planes dived to prevent stalling. This caused the fatal crashes and other incidents where these airplanes dived uncontrollably.

In the fatal 2008 Airbus crash, two of the three sensors failed and the computer was programmed to use the majority vote, like Take His Heart does. Now you can see the connection with these crashes and how Take His Heart tries to follow God. Their "sensors" or people getting spiritual guidance is tainted by enemy inputs, which they are using as God's voice.

This obviously does not allow us to hear or follow God correctly. It makes people keep trying to use the same faulty methods in a no-win situation to hear and follow God with imposters in the foreground having more control over you than our true God.

Something very important that Take His Heart does not understand is that 1 Corinthians 2:13, I brought up before about comparing spiritual with spiritual, is not talking about always comparing more than one piece of spiritual guidance, but talking about having God's Spirit in you to give you revelation of good spiritual guidance.

This is seen easier by using the NASB translation of the verse, "...we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words."
Note: The need of more than one translation of scripture highlights problems with only using one or two translations. If the translations you use lack the correct interpretation or information, then you likely won't see God's actual meaning in it. See Choosing a Bible for more about Bibles.
I bolded the important parts in the NASB translation of 1 Corinthians 2:13 about the thought, which we get from having God's mind (His Spirit) in us to understand spiritual words, which can be words, visions, scripture, things given to God's other servants, etc. That is how Peter could come to the conclusion that Gentiles were also saved by the New Covenant in Acts 10, which Roy references as an example of comparing or combining spiritual things.

However, it was not simply in having two pieces of information (the visions about all foods and animals being clean or fine to eat and being sent to the centurion) that gave Peter the revelation. He needed God's Spirit in him to give the correct interpretation - remember interpretation belongs to God, not man (2 Peter 1:20-21; Genesis 40:8).

    Take His Heart
and their followers are being misled to seek spiritual guidance that includes false guidance to make interpretations for them. This is a ploy giving hooks to the enemy and allows them to mislead and take control of people's lives with false guidance.

Constantly seeking spiritual guidance and recording everything you get is not how people followed God or got His interpretation of things in either the Old or New Testament. There is no mention of keeping journals of a lot of visions, dreams, words, etc. to make flowcharts or pictures to get God's guidance and interpretation. Take His Heart even got guidance that making flowcharts are a necessary part of God's government and an individual's yielding to God's governance, which is very deceptive and further urges the practice of seeking and recording spiritual guidance, much of which is false[3.1.65].

Before I knew about Take His Heart's methods, the Lord taught me to allow Him to give guidance slowly over longer periods of time. It teaches discipline and patience, so we won't jump to conclusions about guidance, but slowing down does not help when the enemy also gives false guidance slowly in pieces over time, like seen with Take His Heart's journaling methods. We need to get rid of false guidance completely to get the correct picture of God's guidance. However, slowing down and not jumping to conclusions about scripture and spiritual guidance in general IS a good practice.

To back up their journaling to get revelations, Take His Heart quotes Isaiah 28:13, "a little here, a little there," to refer to getting guidance from God in the bit by bit way they teach, however, if you see the entire context of that verse, God is not talking about what Roy is saying.

The Lord is talking about someone not just weened from milk and the breast (not a new believer), who will teach the people that His word and proper teaching comes from built-up wisdom - "Order on order, order on order, line on line, line on line, a little here, a little there" (Isaiah 28:9-10), but the people are scoffers (Isaiah 28:14) and will not listen (Isaiah 28:12), so to them, good teaching and truth does not make sense, and they treat it mockingly and cannot see the entire context of God's wisdom or word. And so to them, truth is fragmented into pieces that are not given correct interpretation, "Order on order, order on order, line on line, line on line, a little here, a little there" (Isaiah 28:13), and so they reject God's reproof and will continue in their sinful, erroneous ways, so "as they go, they will fall backward. They will be injured and snared and captured" (Isaiah 28:13).

I have seen the fulfillment of this prophecy by Isaiah when I tried to correct ministers who scoffed and mocked me when I gave them the Lord's reproof and evidence of the truth (see this post for more).

As people of God, we are supposed to have greater discernment, especially about spiritual things, but because of sin and the spiritual war, the church is in much disarray and error. The church, as well as God's People as a whole, do not truly know the Lord or righteousness, "they are not a people of discernment..." as God said (Isaiah 27:11), and so have fallen to many lies and false teaching. God's People is in the same state it was when Yeshua - Jesus first came and denounced the Jews for their sin and error.

Believers try to understand God, but are blinded by the enemy and sin, like preaching false gospels and keeping false teaching and guidance. I've seen much false guidance over the years to know the enemy can fake nearly any kind of spiritual guidance, like dreams, words, and visions. Jumping to the wrong conclusions about guidance, whether it is from God or not, is also not prevented when you are blinded by false beliefs and teaching.

People in the Bible did not get revelations using journaling, flowchart methods of connecting many pieces of guidance. We aren't supposed to constantly chase after and record words, visions, and dreams, so I urge anyone doing that to stop and only record things that appear significant, if you need to at all. God's guidance, like dreams or visions, most often are vivid enough that we don't have to record them, and the only people I've seen that get so many words, visions, and dreams that they have to record them are people getting a lot of false guidance.

I also urge not to interpret every piece of spiritual guidance you get either, because trying to use false guidance and lies and force good interpretations from it, like I've seen many in the church do, will only have you accepting false guidance and lies that gives the enemy more hooks to continue giving more false guidance.

Remember, too, interpretation belongs to the Lord (2 Peter 1:20-21; Genesis 40:8), so don't try too hard to interpret yourself. "No prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God" (2 Peter 1:20, Genesis 40:8).

People in the Bible got God's interpretation by it being revealed to them somehow, such as a gift or anointment of His Spirit or Him telling them plainly. That is how Joseph, Daniel, the prophets, and disciples of Yeshua - Jesus could interpret the dreams and guidance given to them.

The Lord may also take a very long time to give complete revelation, as well, especially in our New Testament Age when we can only see dimly as in a hazy mirror (1 Corinthians 13:12). In fact, the complete workings of the New Covenant were revealed just like that - with the first apostles not knowing all its details, but God later gave Apostle Paul its more complete working. I show this to be true in The True Gospel and Imposters.

God can give confusing and misleading guidance, but not complete lies, since He cannot lie (Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18; Numbers 23:19) and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth (John 14:16-17, 15:26, 16:13; 1 John 5:6). However, God allows other spirits to lie and mislead for His purposes as I noted in 1a. Myth: God is not a god or author of "confusion" and 1b. Myth: The Bible and God are easy to understand.

Take His Heart also refers to 1 John 2:27 about needing no one to teach us other than the Lord and emphasizes it as a truth, however, he doesn't take into account that not everybody has the Spirit or if they do, they may not have an anointing or spiritual gift that would allow them to truly not need anyone else in the Body of Christ or the guidance others got. I spoke of that in 1e. Myth: Correct interpretation of scripture or God's spiritual guidance is automatic and easy, and noted even the people who had the anointing in 1 John 2:27 needed the instruction of John and the other apostles to teach them and not just the Holy Spirit in them.

  • The danger of following false guidance is minimized by Take His Heart to make people feel it is safe to get false guidance and follow demons, especially in what they call "Golden Meetings" and "Judgment Meetings" with the Lord. These are regular meetings, usually in groups, to worship and get guidance from God.

I've seen other ministries using similar formalized meetings with God to get guidance, but each group differs in their rituals. How can they be following our one and true God when their "God" taught them to meet with Him in different ways? Obviously, they aren't following God, but actually have been misled by the Baals of this age, the spiritual Lords or Masters of the Old Testament that brought God's people into idolatry (see this post for more about that...).

    Take His Heart
says we must record all spiritual guidance, because we will forget it and therefore cannot follow God. But urging people to get guidance on everything, no matter how small, is also what the God Calling false-christ spirit teaches.

The practice of asking for guidance too often also gives these imposters more control over someone's life, and at the beginning of this section, I noted how demons infect journals, computers, and other objects used for divination, such as the methods of getting spiritual guidance used by Take His Heart, God Calling, and other ministries.

God does not need us to record all our spiritual guidance to lead us. I don't believe Christ's original disciples did this. The Lord is perfectly capable of leading us without journals and we will remember things that are important, whether from success or failure.

The Lord leads and teaches us in and through our life experiences as well as by spiritual words and visions. This is how He interacts with most people. It is a very, very few that get gifts of untainted words, visions, prophecy, etc. from God on a regular basis, and even fewer, if any today, who are completely free of influence from the enemy's false guidance, whether it was taught by the church or world or given directly to them by spiritual imposters.

I also noted earlier that it was God's predestined plan for me to go through a path of sifting through much good and bad teaching to learn, be tested, and mature. It is also God's will the tares or weeds of the enemy remain in the kingdom until the end of this age, so God's hand is in all of this, and in fact it was prophesied by Jeremiah about the New Covenant Age[1.3] where he recorded, "'Behold, days are coming,' declares the Lord Yahovah, 'when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and the seed of beast.'" (Jeremiah 31:27).

The "seed of man" refers to the Son of Man (Mashiach Yeshua - Christ Jesus), but the "seed of beast" refers to the tares or weeds of the devil and The Beast of Daniel and Revelation, of which came the Roman Catholic Church and churches after it. How can God say He will sow what opposes His Good Seed in Christ?

You must remember that God is in ultimate control of Creation and that He is in ultimate control of demons and what they can do, as well, so even if it is actually the work of Satan to plant those weeds in God's kingdom (Matthew 13:25-28, 13:38-39), it is still God's will and plan to allow it.

Too much of the church does not understand the full truth or God's whole character - that He brings both the good and bad, He makes both the light and dark (Deuteronomy 32:39; 1 Samuel 2:5-7; Isaiah 45:7; Lamentations 3:38; Job 12:23; Jeremiah 31:28; Ecclesiastes 7:14; 2 Chronicles 25:8; Proverbs 22:2), so to be a mature believer, you must understand and acknowledge this and not simply think that God and demons are completely independent.

God is ultimate King of all in this Creation, but He does give Satan and his demons reign and rule in the domains He chooses. But still, we need to remember that even if God is ultimately responsible for all things as Apostle Paul stated, "But everything comes from God" (1 Corinthians 11:12), not all guidance from misled ministries or their methods are directly from God as they claim and their followers believe.

The knowledge I gained from this path is invaluable, but in the end, when I found out false-christs and imposters were taking place of God, I rejected the teachings and guidance of misled ministries. How can you be loyal to the Lord if you are also following false ones? I don't think anyone is in their right mind if they are willing to let demons guide and control their lives.

When I tried convincing someone to leave Take His Heart's teachings, because they wanted help to convince their family to believe their guidance, they could not understand the many points I gave saying it is false teaching. Giving them scripture to back up what I said didn't seem to help, because they would try to interpret things to fit their beliefs and dismiss or not take into account things they couldn't reconcile.

Roy at Take His Heart did the same things when I confronted him about contractions in their guidance and scripture, and I've seen many others in other ministries do the same. People who are spiritually blinded or brainwashed simply cannot see or understand clearly if they continue to hold the wrong beliefs that are blinding them. This shows how important it is to try and be completely objective and weigh all evidence with proper weight so that you can correctly reject lies and false teaching.

  • Take His Heart teaches that keeping records or flowcharts of spiritual guidance will defeat the prophesying Python spirit and render false guidance harmless[3.1.67]. I talked about this earlier, and the practice of seeking, recording, and using false guidance only gives the enemy more hooks in you. It allows demons to give more false guidance to mislead and take control of your life.

  • Take His Heart's Golden Meetings and Judgment Meetings with the Lord are claimed to be "dust proof" or "keep the soul of man" out of guidance[3.1.60], so that you only get God's guidance and interpretation. This claim is a very attractive lure to get people to use Take His Heart's methods, but it is very misleading and completely ignores how the enemy and false guidance has been in their guidance and meetings many years before I found them, and likely when they first began their methods of getting spiritual guidance decades ago.

These meetings seemed like the perfect way to follow the Lord since they're supposed to give God's guidance for you personally as well as the church, and even though there is false guidance in them, Take His Heart's teachings mislead you into thinking it is inconsequential.

The reality of what happens when you try to follow God while also being misled by demons is you waste a lot of time and resources following false leads, and worse, you give the enemy more control over you and fall to idolatry by allowing imposters to take over your life for God, since you are worshipping and following them and not God.

We cannot have more than one God, one Teacher, Father, Master, or Leader (Matthew 23:9-10; Matthew 6:24; Luke 16:13), so if we follow false ones, we are not truly living by the Spirit or through God as our only Teacher, Father, and Leader.

The only way these meetings with the Lord would work as claimed is if the enemy and false guidance is taken completely out of the picture. That will not happen until after the end of this age according to the Parable of Tares and Wheat (see The True Gospel and Imposters for details) and Revelation 20:1-3 when the enemy and Satan is locked away from deceiving man during the next age of the Millennial Reign.

  • Roy got dreams or visions he attributes to God that use a black man to represent ignorance or lack of knowledge and blond women to represent unintelligence[3.1.58]. I don't believe the Lord ever used a person's skin color or appearance in negative stereotypes or showed racial prejudice in this way.

God is blunt in comparing people to things to illustrate their sin, like comparing adulterous and sinful people to wild horses or donkeys that live by instinct to breed rather than wisdom (Jeremiah 2:24, 13:27; Ezekiel 23:20; Hosea 8:9), but I have not found any scripture that uses stereotypes like I noted or that show racism or prejudice based on physical appearances.

  • Take His Heart's spirit claimed to do things by "power and might," which is the opposite of what the Lord said in Zechariah 4:6, "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit."

  • I've heard Roy Sauzek of Take His Heart state the Lord is not returning for the Harlot Church, and people following their ways think that the Harlot is not really God's Bride, because of their teaching. These statements are not true and only put fear into people to do what Take His Heart says, so they can belong to the Lord or make sure they won't miss His return.

First, the Harlot Church is defined by much more sin than just the three spots Take His Heart try to address, but I will discuss that more in the section titled The Harlot and Leaving Her.

From Take His Heart's standpoint, the Harlot is the church that is not practicing or in the three steps of Brideship that were spoken about above related to the 3 spots teaching. That means Christians who may or may not be truly saved and are not tithing correctly and are not following God correctly are in the Harlot. This thinking is based on false guidance as well, but I will state further why Roy and Take His Heart are wrong.

Anyone who is saved and reborn by the New Covenant belongs to Christ and is in that married state with God, no matter what sins or other acts they are doing. See The True Gospel and Imposters for details.

When Christ returns, it is all who belong to Him or who are truly saved that will be with Him and resurrected in the Rapture. The New Covenant and Christ's sacrifice pays for all our sin (Mark 3:28; 1 John 1:7; Colossians 2:13-14), so we will be a part of the resurrection and have eternal life. Scripture does not say only believers walking in certain acts, like Brideship, will be part of the Rapture or the heavenly kingdom when the Lord returns.

Furthermore, the New Testament has statements for the encouragement of believers who worried they would miss being a part of the Lord's return and the Rapture. I share those in the next point about Take His Heart believing the Lord already returned.

People using Take His Heart's viewpoint of Brideship think the Harlot is not God's Bride, because she isn't in those three steps concerning salvation, tithing, and following the Spirit. However, the Bride is everyone who believes in Christ, though they may not be saved, but the married Bride is everyone who is truly saved, as I said, so saying the Harlot is not the Bride is wrong.

The Harlot Church is the church living in and practicing certain sins, which is much different than Take His Heart's definition. But the Harlot is still God's Bride and people in it will be part of the Rapture and reign with God in the Millennium. I do not believe Christ's first disciples practiced Take His Heart's Brideship methods either, yet I'm certain they will be part of the resurrection and reign with us and Christ in the next age.

  • Take His Heart believes the Lord has already returned and we are in the Millennial Reign of Revelation 20:4-6[3.1.60]. Roy used Jesus' statement about destroying the temple in Jerusalem and that He would build another, made without hands in three days (Mark 14:58) to refer to 3000 years, since "with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day" (2 Peter 3:8).

Roy states we are in the Lord's third day or day of the Lord, which he says is the Millennial Reign. However, Yeshua - Jesus' statement about building another temple without hands in three days was clarified by John, "But [Yeshua - Jesus] was speaking of the temple of His body. So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the scripture and the word which [He] had spoken" (John 2:21). The three days referred to Christ's resurrection on Sunday, the third day.

I also noted to Roy when he shared the guidance about being in the Millennial Reign that some things had to take place before or when it begins:

    1. Revelation 19:20-21 says the final Antichrist or beast and the false prophet are defeated and thrown into the lake of fire when Christ returns.

    2. 2 Thessalonians 2 notes the Rapture or "our gathering together to [the Lord]" at His return will not happen until the last Antichrist or man of lawlessness is revealed. Paul says, we are "not [to] be quickly shaken from [our] composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or letter as if from [the apostles], to the effect that the day of the [Lord's return] has come" (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

To my knowledge, the man of lawlessness has not been revealed, so the Rapture has not begun.

    3. Revelation 20:1-3 says the devil or Satan is bound for the thousand-year Millennial Reign, which should refer to the enemy as a whole and not just the one angel, Satan, "so [they] would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed."

The enemy has obviously not been bound up and continues to deceive the world today, as well as Take His Heart specifically. Satan being thrown into the lake of fire for eternity with the beast and false prophet after the Millennial Reign should also refer to all demons since they will not be in the New Heaven and Earth that comes after the Millennial Reign and Judgment in Revelation 20.

It makes no difference to bind only one devil, Satan, for the Millennium when all the rest continue to do the same things he does.

    4. Revelation 20:4-6 refers to the first resurrection of the dead or what the church calls The Rapture. It also says the dead in Christ will be resurrected to reign with the Lord during the Millennial Reign. This has not yet happened and those verses say the dead in Christ will reign with Him for a thousand years and not just a part of or at the end of the Millennial Reign.

Furthermore, we who are still alive in Christ will also be resurrected after the dead in Christ are, so we may join them and Christ in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). This resurrection is a real resurrection of our bodies like Christ's was, so we will reign with Christ in our new angel-like bodies, which obviously hasn't happened.

These points contradict Take His Heart's guidance about the Lord already returning and being in the Millennial Reign or the Lord's Day as Roy calls it. In fact, Paul wrote 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 2 Thessalonians 2, noted above, to encourage believers they would not miss being a part of the Lord's return or Rapture. So again, I will note Paul said, we are "not [to] be quickly shaken from [our] composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the [Lord's return] has come" (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

  • Take His Heart shares a lot of guidance about walking in Brideship giving special protection from the Great Tribulation. Some of it scares people into Brideship to get that protection[3.1.60, 3.1.52].

    Take His Heart
also shares testimonies from people who got guidance by their methods and were saved from natural disasters, like hurricanes. These testimonies were interpreted as examples of how God will save His Bride in events of the Tribulation and bolstered the protections of Brideship.

Whether God actually gave them the information to save them or it was the false-christ, is unclear. I do know the false-christ of God Calling also claims protection if obedience is given to its ways[3.1.98].

We have to remember demons have real powers to prophecy and give exact details of the future, so having prophecy come true is not a sure sign things are from God.

The Church of Philadelphia in Revelation 3 is also said to be protected from the Tribulation, but that protection comes from righteousness and being truly saved by the New Covenant as I talked about in 4a. Myth: The Rapture will save Christians from the Great Tribulation.

Our sins and acts of righteousness affect what kind of protection and help we get from God, and I fully believe righteous Christians who are not walking as Take His Heart teaches have been and will continue to be saved from events of the Tribulation and Antichrists.

Testimonies from Christians are everywhere about miracles, angel interventions, and the working of events that saved them from death and harm. Jews who were righteous enough to be saved from the Holocaust and other persecution have their testimonies as well, so sin and righteousness have a big part in saving people from serious disasters.

  • Take His Heart believes the Man-Child of Revelation 12:5-6 is the product of Brideship or the "baby" of Christ and the Bride in Brideship who will rule with an iron scepter[3.1.60]. This is supposed to happen through people walking in Take His Heart's teachings and their spiritual meetings I mentioned. However, Take His Heart's guidance and those meetings are full of false guidance and are influenced by demons as I noted already.

The woman of Revelation 12 has multiple meanings, so I can't rule out the possibility the Man Child or Male Child also symbolizes more than Yeshua - Jesus.

First though, the woman represents both Mother Mary and the Bride of Christ, because someone was guided by the vision of the woman in Revelation 12 to pinpoint Yeshua - Jesus' exact birthdate, which is not in December. See Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashana and Christmas in The Lord's Holidays and Sabbaths for details.

That means the Man-Child refers to Christ being born and taking His throne, which has been an obvious interpretation of the scripture. Take His Heart, though, also believes Christ already returned and the Man-Child represents how God will rule through the Bride walking in Brideship[3.1.60].

However, I noted above the many problems with Take His Heart claiming Christ already returned and the Millennial Reign already starting. Does it rule out a different product of Christ and the Bride ruling in the Millennium, though? Since I know the woman of Revelation 12 also represents the Wed Bride, New Jerusalem, or Hephzibah. I don't know. See Predestined for more about the symbolism in the Wed Bride.

We also know the woman of Revelation 12 is Christ's Wed Bride because she has more children than just the Man Child - those "who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Yeshua - Jesus" (Revelation 12:17). They are obviously Christians, so the woman is the church, but these Christians are who the enemy attacks after they persecute the Wed Bride and unsuccessfully try to overwhelm her with a flood of water like a river, "but the earth helped her... and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth" (Revelation 12:15-16).

I personally witnessed this flood from the enemy in all the false guidance I've seen everywhere in believer's lives, and I've also witnessed how the earth moves to help the Wed Bride with how God prepares the physical world to affirm His true path and guidance, like the artifacts I found that help support what I teach about tithing in Properly Handling God's Money and Our Taxes, and my gold signet ring and other physical objects that point me in the right direction are more examples of the earth helping the Bride, which I share in Predestined. God's Alarm and Stop Rebuke contain more examples of God's wonders on the earth (Joel 2:30; Acts 2:19).

This is an age where we cannot blindly trust spiritual guidance, signs, and miracles, but God still goes before His chosen and prepares the way so we are not completely lost to lies and deceptions (Genesis 24:7; Exodus 23:20-23, 32:34; Deuteronomy 1:30-33, 31:8; Judges 4:14; 1 Chronicles 14:15; Isaiah 45:2, 52:12).

  • Roy Sauzek of Take His Heart says that it is nobody's fault the church lost the forgotten ways that they teach or that we simply lost truths over time[3.1.66], however, Christ is the head of the church and God the head of Christ (Ephesians 5:23; 1 Corinthians 11:3), and so He is ultimately responsible for what the church forgets and remembers.

God lets people fall in sin and forget things if that is His will (Lamentations 2:6), but in the case of Take His Heart's teachings, much of it is false guidance that the church never knew in the first place.

The state of the church and God's People as a whole, with its errors, sin, darkness, and the enemy within it is the Lord's will, since He is responsible for us. God doesn't want all the sin and darkness in His People, but the spiritual fight with sin and darkness is His will and plan. Some of that is so we have testing and trials to mature through.

  • Take His Heart claims their website is the Scroll or Book of Remembrance of Malachi 3:16. They were told this by a 3rd-Party, however, their website cannot be The Book because of all the false guidance in it. At most, their site is the beginning or part of the Book of Remembrance, because as far as I know, they were first to get important truths that were forgotten by the church, such as how God's conditional covenants work (discussed above), which is important in understanding how the New Covenant works.

  • Take His Heart claims that all churches should be named in the pattern, "The Church [at specific location]"[3.1.71], like the pattern seen in Revelation 2 and 3, such as "The Church in Sardis" and "The Church in Philadelphia."

However, I believe this is false guidance and doesn't take into account that there were much fewer churches at the time of the Book of Revelation's writing, so there were likely only one church at each of the locations addressed in Revelation 2 and 3.

Roy states this naming convention should be adhered to so unity is shown in the Body of Christ and doing otherwise shows division. However, I've given proofs in 4b. Myth: Division is not from God that it is the Lord's will there is division in His People, and the enemy will be in the kingdom (the church) until the end of the age.

That comes from the Parable of the Tares/Weeds and Wheat where Yeshua - Jesus said, "Allow both to grow together until the harvest... and the harvest is the end of the age" (Matthew 13:30, 13:39). Yeshua - Jesus explains that the tares are the "sons of the evil one" sowed by the devil, while the wheat are the true sons of the kingdom (Matthew 13:38-39), so the enemy and their false teachings will be in the church until the end of the age, and consequently, there will not be complete unity for the church in this age (see more about the Parable of Tares and Wheat in The True Gospel and Imposters).

The world doesn't see the church is divided just because of the different church or denomination names, as Roy states. The world sees a divided church because of how she behaves - segregating, showing prejudices, arguing about the truth and doctrine, and rigidly keeping her opinions of teaching and doctrine despite being corrected.

There is also the reality of spiritual blindness and brainwashing that prevents people from seeing and understanding clearly, no matter what evidence is given them. I've seen it in atheists just as much as Christians and other believers. The church and God's People are divided by this blindness, and changing how we name our churches will do nothing to fix that.

When you realize that people simply cannot think clearly or see the full truth when they are blinded, it shows why the New Testament says it is useless and fruitless to argue about scripture or doctrine and not to give hate, but just try to warn and correct people kindly a couple times and then leave them if they don't want to change (2 Timothy 2:14, 2:24-26; Titus 2:1-2, 3:9-11; James 5:9; 1 Peter 2:23, 3:8-12).

The naming convention given by Roy is also impractical. Even a small city of around 10,000 needs at least a handful of churches, so having "The Church at This City" will quickly run out of names.

Roy also suggests naming churches "The Church at [specific address]", which would work, but his naming article, as well as much of the writings at Take His Heart, are full of overly religious suggestions, exclamations, and overzealousness that through the years speaking with people, I recognize as having religious spirits.

Roy has a good point, though, in that churches compete against one another, which should not be. There should not be a church on every corner or every other street, when we are one People under Christ (Romans 10:12-13; 1 Corinthians 12:12-26; Galatians 3:26-29; Ephesians 2:11-22, 3:6; Colossians 3:11; 1 Peter 2:9-10; also Romans 12:4-5). We should be united, but the reality is, this complete unity will not come in this age, or at least until the Harlot Babylon/Harlot Church is destroyed (Revelation 17:1-19:5).

  • Take His Heart reported in one of their spiritual meetings that the Lord was impatient and angry that people were late, and said something like, "Don't waste my time."

I don't believe God ever had a problem with wasting time, since He created it and controls it. He can listen to and respond to billions of people at a time and can appear in multiple places at a time, like I know other spirits can also be in more than one place at a time.

I've also heard of testimony where God took someone out of time while he was driving to show him something for a while and then brought him back to driving the car a split second after he left. I can't recall the details of the testimony, but God and Christ have no problems using time, and I don't believe He would respond the way Take His Heart's spirit did when people were late.

  • Take His Heart teaches that all paths not of the Lord will end in denial[3.1.20], which basically means they will end in denying Christ and losing eternal salvation. Gay lifestyles, murdering, fornication, and adultery are stated explicitly, but many other sins are suggested. This false guidance uses fear to make people follow God exactly as God states and Take His Heart teaches. The problem with this is determining what paths are not of God. Take His Heart is already being misled as is much of the church and world, so how can we know what path in life is not truly of God?

God forgives anyone with the New Covenant, no matter what sins they did, continue to do, or will do (see The True Gospel and Imposters for details). That includes homosexuality, murder, and adultery, so you cannot say that living a gay lifestyle will guarantee you will lose eternal salvation, which is what Take His Heart's spirit is saying.

It's true that living a life of sin puts people at high risk they will lose salvation in Christ, if they allow darkness to take over their lives and consequentially deny Christ. This is a reason why Apostle Paul gave someone living in sin over to Satan (because he married his mother or step-mother) for the "destruction of his flesh" or premature death. It's so he will keep eternal salvation before he can deny Christ (1 Corinthians 5:5). I talk about that and the New Covenant in more detail in The True Gospel and Imposters.

Many people are born cursed with predispositions for sin, such as anger, addiction, sorcery, divination, and homosexuality, and live life in those sins, but they may still believe in Christ and be saved, even up to the last moment of their lives, like the thief crucified with Christ was saved at the end (Luke 23:33-43).

The fight against sinful urges, like homosexuality, is difficult, because the urges are real and can be very strong. And contrary to what some Christians believe, people really are born homosexual or ambiguous, such as intersex people with unclear or atypical sex chromosomes and anatomy. Can you say these people are just destined to go to hell, because they were born that way?

Of course not, Christ can save them too and change and strengthen them so they no longer have sinful urges and can resist them. I've heard testimonies from both homosexual and lesbian people where God brought them out of those lifestyles.

But what about LGBT+ Christians who don't believe their lifestyles are sinful? Do you think God will just say their choice to live that way will guarantee they lose salvation in Christ, even though they are blinded? That's what Take His Heart's spirit is saying, but the man in 1 Corinthians 5 above also chose to live in sin, but he would keep eternal salvation, though it is at the expense of a long life.

  • Take His Heart's false-christ used groveling fear and often used curses and punishment to get obedience. This is not the kind of fear we are supposed to have in a life with God, especially under Christ. Fear of the Lord is not fear of judgment from a tyrannical ruler, but a healthy, reverent fear of God's judgment if we sin.

I've seen events in Take His Heart's spiritual meetings that made them very fearful and they consequently begged God for mercy. The New Testament does not show Christ making faithful, well-meaning believers cower in fear. In 1 Timothy 5, though, Paul notes the reverent fear I spoke of, "Those who continue to sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also will be fearful of sinning" (1 Timothy 5:20). This respectful fear of God is also shown in the following New Testament scripture: Matthew 10:28; Luke 12:5; Acts 5:4-11; Ephesians 5:18-21, 6:5; Philippians 2:12; Colossians 3:22; 1 Peter 1:17, 2:17; Revelation 11:18, 14:7, 19:5.

Paul's conversion into Christianity was likely frightening when he was blinded and Christ spoke aloud (Acts 9:1-9), but there is no mention God spoke or acted in a fearfully tyrannical way. The disciples showed more fear of Paul in Acts 9, because of his persecution of Christians than any of the same kind of fear of persecution from God.

Fear did spread among believers when God killed Ananias and his wife, Sapphira, for keeping money they vowed to share (Acts 5:1-11), but that is an example of God judging sin and not a tyrannical display. God does not keep us in a life of fear to get our obedience. It would bring us to slavery and fear again to follow laws, which Christ and the New Covenant changed, "For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, 'Abba! Father!'" (Romans 8:15).

In the Old Testament, the Jews groveled in fear of God at Sinai when He put on a terrifying display of His power with smoke, fire, and lightning (Exodus 19:9-20:21), but even then it was God's intent to instill healthy, reverent fear in them and not to make His People grovel for mercy (Exodus 20:20). We should not be living fearful lives with God, especially when we are trying to follow Him and be righteous. God doesn't want a groveling people who obeys only out of fear. He wants a loyal people who obey out of love for Him and what is right. Keeping people in fear to get obedience does not promote true love or long-term loyalty.

Methods of false guidance shared by Take His Heart, God Calling, and other ministries:
  • I already talked about Take His Heart spreading a spirit of slavery above, but spirits of slavery are being spread by God Calling and other ministries as well. This is recognizable by teaching and spiritual guidance that makes optional things mandatory, like tithing and Take His Heart's Brideship steps or God Calling's many statements urging daily practices[3.1.104]. These spirits of slavery and religious spirits also overemphasize law, legality, and attaining perfection through acts or works.

Take His Heart's guidance about the law of retribution is an example[3.1.53]. It is true God has a law of retribution, which is stated in Ezekiel 33:14-16. It basically says if sinners repay what they stole or give reimbursement for their sin, then God will forgive and they will live.

This repayment of something stolen is how we pay God back if we steal from the tithe (see Properly Handling God's Money and Our Taxes for details). It will remove judgment or curses we get from it, but Take His Heart's guidance goes too far with retribution and say it is very important to pay God back from robbing Him in any way, which refers to guidance they got to pay God money for some unidentified sins.

This goes too far and suggests we can just pay our way out of judgment or curses. Ezekiel 33 above, though, talks about making our sins right by acting righteously or repaying anything stolen. It does not suggest we have to pay money for every sin or that we have to always do something to pay it back, which is what the Catholic Church calls penance. God's judgments are often what we must go through for our sins, so making penance on our own or by the church's rules can be redundant or even useless.

Roy's retribution article has other contextual mistakes, and he misses something in referring to Mark 2:9 about Yeshua - Jesus healing a paralytic. He already paid for his sins by being paralyzed, presumably for years, in the first place, so that healing had nothing to do with paying God back. That verse does show healing coming from God's forgiveness as Roy states, but the paralytic did nothing as far as fulfilling the law of retribution to get the healing.

Roy's law of retribution article has two testimonies about paying back tithe debt to God that brought healing and blessings, which appear authentic, since the people were Christians and likely tithed and mishandled it, but the article is typical of most of Take His Heart's writings in that false beliefs and false guidance are mixed with good guidance.

Overemphasizing retribution also ignores God's great grace and forgiveness, which He gives without our needing to pay back all our sin. Paul talked about this in Romans 4, "Just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works, 'Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account" (Romans 4:6-8; Psalm 32:1-2).

God showed this mercy to the whole city of Nineveh in the Book of Jonah. He did not require them to pay retribution. Jonah told them their city would be overthrown and they believed him, so they called on God when the king told them to leave evil ways and violence. God just wanted them to change from their sinful ways and acknowledge Him. He didn't ask for retribution or payment of their sins.

Jonah was angry God would forgive so easily, but the Lord said, "Should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left?" (Jonah 4:11). God gave them mercy, because they were immature or like children who couldn't tell right from wrong, and needed His compassion[2.820.7], not because they paid Him retribution for their sins.

God's compassion is also seen when Yeshua - Jesus refers to King David and his companions eating sacred bread when they were hungry (Matthew 12:3; Mark 2:25-26; Luke 6:3-4). It was a sin for anybody but the priests to eat, but there is no record of them being condemned for it or that they had to repay God for the sin.

In God Calling, overemphasis on legality and perfection is shown by statements like, "Discipline and perfect yourself at all costs"[3.1.76] and "The rule of my kingdom is perfect order, perfect harmony, perfect supply, perfect love, perfect honesty, perfect obedience - all power, all conquest, all success"[3.1.84].

I bolded words above to show the over exaggeration of things and God's kingdom. God does not speak like this. I could not find the phrase "at all cost(s)" in the Bible, and I've seen false-christ and other religious spirits often overexaggerate things to win people over and make their ways appear attractive, which are also steps in brainwashing people I mentioned earlier. These spirits also teach a lot of false sin to promote fear and guilt, which is also used in brainwashing.

Reasons for brainwashing people are to make them completely dependent and to get absolute control and obedience from them, which goes with spirits of slavery I talked about. The enemy wants people to turn to darkness and have control over them, but God also allows this to happen because it is judgment for sin, like preaching false gospels, which I talk about in The True Gospel and Imposters.

God Calling shows this attempt to over control people with teaching like, "... to make my will your only will. Then my will guides you,"[3.1.87] and other exaggerations about replacing our wills or wants with God's, such as, "I want no will laid grudgingly upon my altar. I want you to desire and love my will, because therein lies your happiness and spirit-rest"[3.1.92].

Yeshua - Jesus' behavior on the night of His capture contradicts God Calling's statements, since He did not want to die and prayed to be released of that duty three times (Matthew 26:39, 26:42, 26:44; Luke 22:42), and though He accepted God's will, He was so stressed over it that His sweat was "like drops of blood" (Luke 22:44), which is a condition known as hematidrosis where small amounts of blood color the sweat in times of great psychological stress[3.1.48].

Christ's attempts to get out of dying on the cross contradicted His own statements on or after the first Palm Sunday when He talked about needing to die, "Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour" (John 12:27).

In that hour Yeshua - Jesus still asked to be saved from it, yet God counts Him as sinless, so requiring our complete and joyous obedience is not from God.

  • In 2022, someone brought the teachings of the South Korean Shincheonji Church of Jesus and their founder, Chairman Lee Man-hee, to my attention. They have churches all around the world and boast about record numbers of theology graduates, such as over 100,000 in 2019[1.1, 1.2] and 20,000 graduates per year during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021[1.3]. These are incredible numbers for any denomination, but you also have to question the type and quality of their program with such large numbers of graduates. Because I am talking about this church here gives you a clue that not everything is as it seems with this sect of Christianity.

After I reviewed a recent sermon by Lee Man-hee, I felt I should look at the references in my COVID-19 writings and was surprised to see that Shincheonji was the church at the center of South Korea's first COVID-19 outbreak in February 2020[1.4]. That may not be interesting to most people, but I know that COVID-19 is the Lord's judgment on both the secular world and the church, so God is saying something about Shincheonji Church being under judgment.

Their huge number of graduates is also disturbing, because when I evaluated Lee Man-hee's July 4th sermon, I could see a lot of red flags linked to false teaching and brainwashing techniques. Too many of Lee's statements, as well as those of his pastors, were overexaggerations of scripture that clearly made them unapproved workmen for God - unable to handle the word of truth correctly (2 Timothy 2:15), while other teaching was plain false doctrine that contradicts the truth and scripture.

Lee also claims to be "The Promised Shepherd" of God who knows all the mysteries of Revelation and parables of Christ, as well as the contents of the "little scroll" of Revelation 10 that the Apostle John took and was told he "must prophesy again concerning many peoples, nations, languages, and kings" (Revelation 10:11). But because Lee and his church's teachings have so many doctrinal errors, such as stating that "all of Revelation and the New Testament have been fulfilled" and that even "all the entities [the destroyers, angels, Beast, final antichrist, etc.] recorded in [Revelation have appeared]," I have to mark Lee Man-hee and his disciples as false teachers who fell to deceiving, seducing spirits just as Paul prophesied of our times, "But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons" (1 Timothy 4:1).

Furthermore, another big red flag for this sect is their claim of having so much supposedly inerrant and God-given revelation, especially "all of Revelation and all of Christ's parables" in Lee's words. The problem with this is God gave NO ONE, not even Christ Jesus Himself all knowledge (for Christ does not know the exact time of His return (Matthew 24:36)). The fact is, God made revelation in the Christian Age even more mysterious and obscured so that no one, not even Christ's first apostles knew everything, "For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then [when He returns, we will see] face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I also have been fully known" (1 Corinthians 13:12).

A proof for this is when I saw that the first disciples of Christ actually did not fully know how the New Covenant worked. God gave Paul a much more detailed knowledge of that, which after many years of spreading "his gospel" alone, he went to the first apostles to validate it with them (see The True Gospel and Imposters for details).

It is very troubling and dangerous that so many hundreds of thousands of people are flocking to the false teachings of Shincheonji. Some in the church think it is a wonderful thing to have a denomination recruit so many believers, as it is spreading the truth of Christ and saving people into God's kingdom. May the Lord truly save these Shincheonji believers, but knowing how false teaching and false gospels work to keep even devout believers out of God's kingdom, I must also say that the Lord brought this sect to my attention so that I could keep naive believers out of the grips of cult-like sects like Shincheonji.

All ministries that spread false teaching and lies are maintaining stumbling blocks for the people, because they maintain sin by teaching false sin and false righteousness and they can prevent people from being truly saved or remaining saved because of their false gospels.

But what did Christ say about these stumbling blocks at the end of this age? "So just as the weeds [of the devil] are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness" (Matthew 13:40-41). And what is also lawlessness or sin? Preaching false teachings and gospels (Galatians 1:8-9).

Shincheonji teaches a false gospel because they say, "None can go to heaven if they add to or subtract from Revelation"[1.4], and "In order to receive salvation, we must see and believe in the physical fulfillment of Revelation, that is, the actual entities from the messenger [Lee Man-hee] who is sent. It is written if one adds to or takes words away [from Revelation], that person would not be able to go to heaven and would receive curses."

They link these statements to Revelation 22:18-19 about changing the contents of the Book of Revelation. First, I noted in Myth 1f and 1g, above, that giving more interpretation of Revelation is not what God meant in Revelation 22:18-19. Furthermore, Lee Man-hee and his teachers break their own notion of adding to Revelation with their own false teachings about it, but they seem to circumvent that because they believe God gave Lee Man-hee direct revelation of all the secrets of Revelation.

Aside from their flaws in logic, we need to look at God's exact words in Revelation 22. Verse 18 states that adding text to Revelation will give the person the plagues of Revelation (Revelation 22:18). It says nothing about losing eternal salvation. The next verse says removing words from Revelation will "take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city [New Jerusalem]" (Revelation 22:19).

This last verse is where Shincheonji gets their false gospel from, because at first glance, it seems God says anyone who removes words from Revelation will lose eternal salvation or their place in heaven. But knowing how the True Gospel works and that the blood of Christ atones for ALL sin, I have to say that God is referring to taking away from a saved believer's final inheritance (their rewards) in heaven ("his part in the tree of life and from the holy city") and not their entire place in heaven (taking their name out of the Book of Life).

This is even more obvious when you understand that our final places, rewards, and status in heaven depends on our works during this life - of righteousness and unrighteousness (Matthew 5:12, 19:27-30; Luke 6:22-26; 1 Corinthians 3:8; 1 Corinthians 3:10-15; Colossians 3:23-25; 2 John 1:8; Revelation 22:12), so remember the Lord said, "In My Father’s house are many rooms. If that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you" (John 14:2), and Paul added of the Father's house, "in a large house there are not only gold and silver implements, but also implements of wood and of earthenware, and some are for honor while others are for dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from [sin], he will be an implement for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work" (2 Timothy 2:20-21).

Note there are "implements" of "dishonor" in God's house in heaven, which refers to believers that get to heaven but are in dishonor there because of their sins. Because false teaching is a sin, all false teachers, including those for Shincheonji are making themselves vessels of dishonor in God's kingdom.

In addition to the false teaching above, Shincheonji adds to their false gospel by saying, "If any person desires to enter into the paradise of God [into heaven] and not into the Lake of Fire, we must all unite as one and go out in front of the Lord"[1.4] according to their notion of physically gathering together, and Lee also said, "In order to reach our hope and destination of faith [in heaven], we must carry out a life of faith that is worthy... to think that someone can go to heaven with a false life of faith [implying acts of righteousness and obedience to God] is complete nonsense. That will never happen. Absolutely not!"

These statements are more obvious conditions of a false gospel based on works of righteousness or sanctification or completely unnecessary acts, yet all these many thousands of Shincheonji graduates cannot see it.

Furthermore, Shincheonji also state that their 12 Tribes (groups within the Shincheonji Church) and their Temple of the Tabernacle are "the only kingdom and temple of God in this world"[1.5]. This lie is another big red flag and is a false teaching that makes people want to be included in their group and truly belong to God, just as similar false teachings and "secrets" or "true Godly inclusion" is used in other ministries mentioned here. It is a "Us vs. Them" mentality and tactic used in brainwashing, and Shincheonji's version is their boast of having an "amazing level of teaching"[1.4], revelations that were only given to Lee Man-hee, and truly belonging to God through their temples and notion of kingdom.

Another tactic they use are many statements of "if anything they teach is in error, let them know so they can correct themselves," which makes them appear very reasonable, but I wonder how they will respond when they are presented with what I say about their teaching and spiritual guidance (a public rebuke was given to them in the spirit of open rebuke for the Lord’s People so that the rest of the brethren also will be fearful of sinning (1 Timothy 5:20)).

Lee also uses many instances of "That's true. Correct?" after using scripture or stating a truth, which focuses people on a fact as being true, and so brings the audience's guard down and makes them more willing to accept anything else that is said. But just because some truth is given doesn't mean everything else given with it is true. I found so many statements in Lee's one sermon to be of bad teaching or plain false, that I have to tell people to stay away from this ministry, yet, why are so many people joining their ranks?

One problem is that Lee gave general scripture references, but then never gave any details to truly backup what he was saying. Shincheonji also boasts of secret knowledge supposed given directly from God to a Biblically prophesied messenger of God (the reincarnation of Apostle John), their founder Lee Man-hee. That obviously carries much weight for people joining Shincheonji as well.

Shincheonji makes many remarks equating Lee to an infallible messenger for God and presents teaching in ways that use brainwashing and mind-control tactics that I talk about in this document, such as presenting truth but twisting it and giving lies to go with the truth so that everything is accepted.

Lee also tried to equate all scripture or God's word as God Himself, and so must be obeyed. He said we all have "one" Bible and asked why do we argue about scripture and said we should all be united in God's word (to his interpretations of it). This equating of scripture to God and then to complete obedience of the written word is another tactic of the enemy and spirits of slavery. It also shows he does not understand (or possibly hides the fact) that translation and interpretation from man and demons completely changes God's originally spoken words, so the truth is, not all scripture is God and must be obeyed.

Lee's testimony includes angelic visitation and visions that gave him the revelations he teaches, but because his denomination has so many lies and false teachings and uses brainwashing techniques, it is obvious they are being deceived by imposter spirits that are not much different than found in other ministries discussed here.

  • The false-christs and false-holy-spirits of Take His Heart, God Calling, Amighty Wind Ministries, as well as a lot of the contemporary church overemphasize carnal love and adoration for the Lord. More recently, I found ministries in the Apostolic, Prophetic or Charismatic movements, such as the House of Prayer and Jeremiah Johnson Ministries, also teach overly carnal love for God, as well as excessive prayer and seeking of spiritual guidance that is shared by the ministries I talk about here[3.1.29.0.1].

They say that having a personal relationship with God is the most important way to live with God, and that ministering to God through a lot of prayer time is more important than ministering to people[3.1.29.0.2]. This is excessively religious and places too much emphasis on "intimate" prayer time with God that is very similar to what Take His Heart teaches for getting guidance and revelation.

I also see a lot of things being spread by the contemporary church that appear to have origins in the false teachings of God Calling. I even saw teachings very similar to that found in God Calling in local churches I went to. This should not be surprising since the publisher claims to have sold over a million copies.

Despite the popularity of false teachings, I've found the enemy promotes an unhealthy worldly love for God. It goes with false gospels and the curse that goes with them (see The True Gospel and Imposters and Divination, Idolatry and the Curse of False Gospels for more). It brings imposters of the Lord, saints, and angels that use our love for them and God to misdirect us into relationships with imposters instead of the real thing.

When this happens, God moves to the background while these imposters are in the foreground and doing most of the interaction with you. They take the love you give God for themselves and use your love to mislead and control you. I can think of no examples in the Bible of people giving God the doting kind of worldly love and adoration that imposters want and teach. Take His Heart, God Calling, and other ministries I talk about here teach this kind of love for God.

I would be wary of ministries and teaching that preach eternal salvation by having a personal relationship with God or adoration for Him and other saints and angels. It is a false gospel and is similar to the Pentecostal Church's beliefs[3.1.38].

These kinds of false gospels invite imposters of the Lord that usurp your relationship with God. They want your adoration and attention and will use your love for God to make you follow them and accept false teaching. For detailed examples of false teachings and imposter Holy Spirits in Pentecostal/Apostolic/Word of Faith churches, see "Evaluation of Christ Embassy's beliefs"[3.1.109].

Adoration is not the kind of love for the Lord we should show (see True Love - What does it mean to God? for more about loving God). God wants our loyalty and righteousness, and He values our enthusiasm for Him, like when King David danced and rejoiced in public when they brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem (2 Samuel 6:14-15).

Take His Heart's spirit uses worldly emotions to make Brideship look like it will give God the woman He never could "love on" or adore before[3.1.55], and that our relationship with God is supposed to be an "intoxicating love relationship", referencing Song of Songs or the Song of Solomon[3.1.24].

That kind of spiritual relationship is what the "habitually drunk" people of Isaiah 28:3 have with their imposter gods, false teachers, and false spiritual teaching - the "wine" they are drunken with in Isaiah 28:1. They are so intoxicated that they can't understand good teaching from the Lord and instead mock and refuse it (Isaiah 28:13-14).

Take His Heart also teaches to have people huddle and embrace tightly together and give silent praise to God for long lengths of time in the meetings they conduct. This close physical contact enhances feelings of adoration and happiness that shift your focus on God towards more carnally based emotions.

I do believe Song of Songs is a metaphor about God and His People that shows love and passion for each other, but treating a relationship with God like a carnal, romantic relationship is not His intent in that book. This mentality comes from demons (seducing spirits) that spread adoration or excessively carnal kinds of relationships with spirits, which I'm talking about here.

I've seen this carnal, romantically based relationship with God a lot in popular contemporary Christian music and teaching that overemphasizes romantic love for God. Remember, though, the Bible does not use the word for romantic love, eros (ἔρως), when it speaks of love in the New Testament.

The New Testament usually uses agape/agapao (ἀγάπη/ἀγαπάω) - charitable love, fondness, or good will, philia (φιλία) - brotherly love, phileo (φιλέω) - more affectionate love (φιλαυτία/φιλαυτοι), or philautia/philautos - love for oneself.

Two of these types of love are used when the resurrected Christ asked Peter three times if he loved Him (John 21:15-17). Christ used agapao the first two times when He asked Peter and phileo the last time, so He was asking Peter if he had a more affectionate love for Him than the first two times. Also, Peter answered in the affectionate with phileo all three times.

The use of phileo love in that conversation shows attachment and affection in their relationship, like a close relationship with a parent or mentor. In fact, Peter loved the Lord so much that he jumped from a boat to reach Him on shore when He appeared after the resurrection (John 21:7). However, this does not show the more romantic or doting adoration kind of love that is spread by false teaching. The word for romantic eros love is not used anywhere in the New Testament.

God Calling's spirit also focuses on a close, carnal relationship with Christ and teaches to give excessive praise and adoration, such as "quality time," which is quiet prayer meant only to be in God's presence and "test our love" for Him[3.1.93]. It says to sit still and long for me and to "love me until just to think of me means joy and rapture"[3.1.85]. This false-christ even says our love for God is at fault if joy and peace doesn't come simply from being in God's presence in times of trouble[3.1.85].

I do not believe the Lord ever teaches us to have this kind of love or relationship with Him. We can express thirst and longing for God, which is shown in Psalm 63:1, Psalm 143:6, and Isaiah 33:2, but those are in times of desperation asking for God's help.

Isaiah 26:8-9 shows desire and longing for God as well, and 2 Timothy 4:8 notes longing for Christ's return. However, there is no urging in the Bible to give God longing or adoration, which false-christs and imposters teach.

The God Calling spirit also overemphasizes love in general, such as saying that giving God's love to people will give a "protective screen that keeps all evil from you"[3.1.91]. This is not true and omits the importance of sin and righteousness and the other parts of the Armor of God I talked about above. It also contradicts Take His Heart's teachings about protection mainly coming from obedience.

The name of Jesus is also overemphasized by the God Calling spirit to focus on and for getting help[3.1.95]. Religious spirits tend to make people want to use God's names excessively, especially that of Jesus, and show praise and thanks to God too often, such as the statement in God Calling saying, "You must say, 'Thank you,' for everything,"[3.1.78] which appears like a command since it says, "You must..."

In the case of God Calling, the insistence on using the name Jesus too often gets the person focused more on having a relationship with the false-christ spirit that uses that name rather than with God.

Religious spirits also overuse Jesus as the only name and the verse stating "there is no other name" (Acts 4:12). I talked about this above in 4e1. Myth: The Lord was called by the name Jesus when He came as a man and 4e2. Myth: Jesus is the most important and only name of God we need to know.

Another ministry that has one or more imposters working with them is Amighty Wind Ministries. They include guidance from a false-holy-spirit called Mother Shkhinah or Momma Shekhinah, which also emphasizes a more carnal, worldly relationship with God, like the God Calling spirit does.

However, after reviewing guidance from their website and this false-holy-spirit, it becomes obvious it cannot be the Holy Spirit, since many lies and contradictions to scripture pop out from its guidance. Remember the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth and God does not lie (John 14:16-17, 15:26, 16:13; 1 John 5:6; Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18; Numbers 23:19). More about Amighty Wind can be found in Ministry Warnings.

  • Demons often teach the use of silence and meditation to get spiritual guidance. This is commonly seen in New Age and Eastern religions, like Buddhism. Take His Heart, God Calling, and other ministries, like yoga based teaching and even Scientology (see Ministry Warnings for more), all use forms of divination that use silence and meditation.

Take His Heart's and God Calling's spirits often talk about using silent prayer and time with God in a more carnal relationship with God[3.1.55, 3.1.101], which I talked about in the last point. Take His Heart's meetings have a lot of focus on silence to praise God and get guidance. Their spirit goes so far as to say silent prayer gives victory in spiritual warfare and urges their followers to do it regularly[3.1.69].

  • God Calling[3.1.80], Take His Heart, and others teach or got guidance about manifesting physical things, like wealth and success, as well as "spiritual" things, like peace and love, with focused thought. This is not praying for these things, but trying to manifest or bringing them into being by thinking, focusing, or meditating on them. This is basically the same thing taught by The Secret book and video series by Rhonda Byrne.

People claim that doing these things work, but like divination and black magic, which also work, I don't believe God wants us to practice manifesting things like this. This is not in the Bible and I believe some of its success  comes from devoting yourself to the intense pursuit of what you're trying to manifest, which is part of The Secret's methods. I also believe manifesting things like this is a form of idolatry that betrays trust and faith in God. Meditating can also be a form of divination, which I talked about above.

God Calling also has many urgings to give mental focus and repeat mantras to get God's peace and be closer to Him[3.1.99, 3.1.93]. This is also not taught in the Bible and reinforces the carnal, worldly relationship with God I talked about[3.1.93]. In contrast, the Bible teaches us not to use repetition in prayer (Matthew 6:7) and to pray and petition God for everything with firm faith. See Balancing The Truth and Prayer for more about prayer.

  • Referencing false guidance, false scripture, and faulty interpretations of scripture is often used by the enemy. For example, Islam is based on false scripture that twists the truth and contradicts God's scripture, and Jehovah's Witnesses use their own bad translation of scripture that removes Christ's divinity and other important truths.

The God Calling spirit references a verse I believe is false guidance in the Bible, Matthew 17:21 about some demons can only be removed by fasting and prayer[3.1.88]. The notes in my NASB Bible say the best manuscripts do not include this verse[2.820.10] and my NIV Study Bible does not include it, except in the notes.

Mark 9:29 is similar but usually only refers to prayer, while only some manuscripts mention fasting as well[2.820.8], so I don't believe fasting is a necessity for casting out demons was taught by God or the disciples. In fact, Jesus notes in Matthew 17:20 that the disciples needed sufficient faith, not fasting and prayer, to get rid of the demon they could not cast out.
[Note: The verses after Mark 16:8 are also only in later manuscripts[2.820.8.1, 2.820.8.2]]
Fasting outside of holidays in the Bible is usually used to express mourning (1 Samuel 31:8-13; 2 Samuel 1:11-12; 1 Chronicles 10:11-12; Esther 4:3; Psalm 35:13-14; Psalm 69:10; Isaiah 58:3-4; Daniel 6:16-18; Zechariah 7:5; Matthew 9:15; Mark 2:20; Luke 5:35) or to go with petitioning God, such as when Esther and others did not eat or drink for three days and nights before she asked King Xerxes to help her save the Jews from complete slaughter (Esther 4:15-16; also Judges 20:26; 1 Samuel 7:6; 2 Samuel 12:15-17-22; 2 Chronicles 20:1-4; Ezra 8:21-23; Nehemiah 1:1-11, 9:1; Psalm 35:13-14; Psalm 109:21-24; Isaiah 58:3-4; Jeremiah 14:10-12, 36:9; Daniel 9:3; Joel 1:14, 2:15-17; Jonah 3:4-9; Luke 2:37; Acts 13:2-3, 14:23).

The disciples also fasted with prayer, also likely to help petition God (Acts 13:2-3, 14:23). This was common for Jews as noted by the many Old Testament references above. Nothing about fasting being required with prayer or petition is taught in the New Testament, though, except for the questionable verses of Matthew 17:21 and Mark 9:29.

Asceticism or harsh treatment of the body is often taught by demons, such as using excessive fasting or physical punishment and denial of oneself. The New Testament does not teach that, but says self-abasement and severe treatment of the body are of no value against sin (Colossians 2:23).

The questionable verses of Matthew 17:21 and Mark 9:29 show a tactic of the enemy to append or add false guidance to good guidance. Take His Heart's false-christ often does this, such as by making tithing mandatory when it is not, yet the guidance about robbing God of tithe still has truth to it. Their teaching about repeat-after-me statements not being valid acknowledgments of Christ in the New Covenant also skew the truth of how the New Covenant works, which I also talked about above.

  • Both Take His Heart and God Calling urge to get God's guidance excessively and are very misleading by suggesting their guidance can be absolutely trusted or that false guidance is not harmful. I talked about this above with Take His Heart misconstruing how to follow the Holy Spirit.

The God Calling spirit does this by suggesting all thoughts are God-inspired when we look toward Him and that obeying those impulses will bring the answer to prayers[3.1.86]. This is obviously not true considering how easily the enemy gives thoughts and impulses, even when we think we are praying to and seeking God.

There are many examples in God Calling that mislead you to follow everything you get[3.1.100.1], which is similar to how Take His Heart's spirit teaches. God Calling also suggests there's no accidents or coincidence[3.1.94]. I also saw guidance from Take His Heart's spirit saying the same thing. This suggests we should interpret everything as guidance from God, but the enemy also has control of many things in the world and can influence other people and your five senses, so what might appear to be a God-given sign may not be.

If you look at how God communicates with people in the Bible, the great majority of it is through words, visions, dreams, and visitations by Him and angels. There is much less communication by signs, wonders, or strange coincidence, though we cannot rule God out of those things, especially now in this age of many spiritual imposters working real powers to give false signs and miracles.

I've seen personally and heard about many testimonies of God working signs, wonders, and events, so like other spiritual guidance we should examine everything and not just assume it is God (1 Thessalonians 5:19-21). The Harbinger and The Mystery of the Shemitah books by Jonathan Cahn give many examples of God working the world with signs that line up to show the 9/11 attacks and other disasters are actually judgment from God (see 9/11 Prophecy for more).

"Everything comes from God" (1 Corinthians 11:12), but not everything is directly from Him, which means God allows things to happen if they are not His will or from His direct influence. I also noted above that God gives the enemy domains to work in, so not all their activity or that of people are directly from God.

Some examples of God working things in the world for His chosen include:
    • Preparing the donkey or colt that Yeshua - Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the first Palm Sunday (Matthew 21:1:11; Mark 11:1-10; Luke 19:28-44; Zechariah 9:9)

    • The scroll of Isaiah was given to Yeshua - Jesus to read in the synagogue after He completed the 40 days of fasting in the wilderness, and from that scroll He went directly to read from the first two verses of Isaiah 61 and proclaimed He just fulfilled that prophecy in their sight (Luke 4:18-19; Isaiah 61:1-2)

    • God prepared the Promised Land for the Jews to take (Exodus 23:20)

    • God prepares the world before us for our good works (Ephesians 2:10)

    • God prepared a place for His Bride to be safe from the enemy in the Great Tribulation (Revelation 12:6)

    • In Predestined, I give many examples of physical things God prepared before I came to believe in Christ to show my predestined ministry.

    • The ARP 273 Rose Galaxy was prepared by the Lord to link to guidance He gave me about the number sequence 272, 273.

    • Like Christ reading from Isaiah 61 and proclaiming it fulfilled, I've also proclaimed much Biblical prophecy fulfilled in Joel 2/Acts 2, Jeremiah 31, Isaiah 24 to 28, Zechariah 13, Malachi 3 to 4, Luke 21, and Revelation 9, 12, and 17 to 18 through the COVID pandemic, Properly Handling God's Money, God's Alarm and Leaving the Harlot Babylon, The Lord said, Let no one argue and let no one rebuke, and through this document and other teachings I've given.

  • Excessive prayer is taught by Take His Heart, God Calling, and Apostolic/Prophetic sects. The God Calling spirit makes it an "obligation and responsibility" to pray for anything that "seems wrong to you or a person's actions to be not what you think they should be"[3.1.100]. This goes with a spirit of slavery that makes you feel like you have to pray every time you see something wrong, like news stories of bad events. Bad things saturate the world, so praying about everything would never end if it were required of us.

Take His Heart got guidance to pray all the time as well, even when sleeping, which obviously isn't possible.

House of Prayer and Jeremiah Johnson in the Apostolic/Prophetic movements go so far as to say that prophets burn out because they are required to pray "day and night"[3.1.29.0.2]. This kind of prayer is unbiblical and appears to be deceived believers actually trying to follow false guidance from imposters to pray all the time.

This kind of excessive prayer is not what is taught in the New Testament where Paul says, "Pray without ceasing..." (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It is true we should pray at any time as we need or see fit, but "pray without ceasing" is not a command to pray literally nonstop, which many people deceived by false guidance are trying to do.

"Pray without ceasing," or "pray continually" in some translations, is part of scripture guiding us in how we should act as Christians, like live in peace with each other, try to correct sinners, don't take revenge, and always rejoice. They are guides for good Christian behavior and not to always be read literally, like always rejoice; we can't literally do that in every single circumstance.

Sometimes we have to go through very bad things and we're in sorrow and suffering, but in the end we rejoice, at the least, in the Lord and His promises, if we cannot rejoice over anything else. Likewise, we aren't really supposed to pray over every single thing and in every moment, but keep faith in God and continue to use prayer.

  • Promotion of "Us vs. Them" mentality of division, which is used in brainwashing[6.3.1] and is a sin (Galatians 5:20; 1 Corinthians 1:10), is promoted by Take His Heart and Amighty Wind's teaching. I already talked about how Take His Heart doesn't consider most of the church to be God's true Bride above.

Amighty Wind keeps some kind of secret that believers are told to ask for if they consider themselves part of the Bride. However, like Take His Heart, a lot of their guidance is false guidance.

These things are stumbling blocks into false teaching and promoting segregation makes people seek out inclusion in their groups, especially when statements suggest you don't really belong to God or you will be left unprotected if you don't act in their ways.

This is an assault on people's identities, which is part of breaking down the self used in brainwashing to make people believe they are not really who they think they are, and so get them to accept the alternative given by those doing the brainwashing[6.3.5].

However, there is still truth in Take His Heart's and my guidance about how some Christians are not truly saved. I talk about the details in The True Gospel and Imposters. We should not be overemphasizing this truth, though, or use it to persuade people into false teaching.

Giving secrets to keep also increases the illusion of special bonds[4.1.1] within the group members and with the giver of the secrets, such as false-christs and demons, which goes with cultivating a more close, carnal relationship with imposters of God that I talked about above. Giving secrets also goes with "imposing generosity" that is part of power and control tactics or brainwashing[4.1.1].

God keeps secrets as I talked about in 1a. Myth: God is not a god or author of "confusion" and 1b. Myth: The Bible and God are easy to understand, but He also makes things plain to his disciples and does not teach us to have intimate, worldly relationships with Him.

The New Testament also says stumbling blocks to God's kingdom will be removed by Christ (Matthew 13:41), and "therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this - not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way" (Romans 14:13), so do not hide things. Instead build each other up freely with kindness and the truth (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

  • Both Take His Heart[3.1.55, 3.1.65.1] and God Calling[3.1.103] teach excessively to "kill the self" or remove all of yourself - your interpretation, will, and soul - when following God and spiritual guidance. This is supposed to help with only hearing and obeying God's will and voice, but self-betrayal is also a step in brainwashing to get absolute control over people[6.3.5].

Killing the self will not help get error-free interpretations when you are blinded by false teaching and beliefs or getting false guidance that you are trying to interpret with good guidance. I talked about these things above.

  • Killing the self is a form of thought stopping, which is a brainwashing technique used to prevent people from thinking more deeply. An example of thought-stopping from Take His Heart is Roy said he was arguing with the Lord about contradictions in scriptures when he heard "in a very, very loud voice, 'It is as it is"[3.1.57]. He was shook up and didn't understand the answer. He reported that three days later he heard from God, "Everything is as I say it is. You can go on believing what you want to believe, but it is as I say it is."

I don't believe that was the Lord, but was a thought-stopping technique to prevent deeper thinking about things, since I know there are many reasons why there are contradictions in scripture, such as bad translation and false guidance or teaching added to original scripture, as well as God presenting seeming contradictions in scripture on purpose to test faith. Many of these seeming contradictions are resolved with further knowledge that is hidden in scripture or outside of scripture.

We must recognize that everything in our Bibles are not simply God's error free word, because interpretation and translation introduce error, so we can't just blindly accept scripture, even if it is from what we think are good Bibles. I've not found one perfect Bible that is free from error or could be translated better. That's why I recommend always using multiple good Bibles to study from (see Choosing A Bible for more).

In God Calling, thought stopping can also be seen in statements like, "A child never questions plans"[3.1.75] and "Follow out my commands: divine control, unquestioning obedience - these are the only conditions of supply being ample for your own needs and those of others"[3.1.83]. You can see the use of "never questioning" and "unquestioning obedience" as well as exaggerating its importance by saying it is the only thing needed for our supply.

This contradicts what Christ said about our material needs: "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). It isn't about absolute, unquestioning obedience, but about being truly saved or belonging to Christ and acting in righteousness (see The True Gospel and Imposters for details about how we are truly saved).

  • Take His Heart, God Calling, Amighty Wind, the Pentecostal/Apostolic Church, and other ministries entice people into their teaching with exaggerations of promises and blessings. They may also tout secret or hidden knowledge that is only given to certain people.

I already talked about promises of protection that weren't seen from Take His Heart's methods and that they make it appear their ways are very desirable. God Calling also exaggerates these things, such as saying how wonderful a life with God is and that blessings are worked in the best and swiftest ways possible[3.1.96].

God also says similar things, but does not over-exaggerate and usually notes that righteousness is involved with getting blessing, such as Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." That statement is supposed to go with the surrounding verses, which note doing good and being faithful to the Lord: "Trust in the Lord Yahovah and do good. Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness [to Him]. Delight yourself in Yahovah, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahovah. Trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday" (Psalm 37:3-6).

Isaiah 58:8 about speedy deliverance is like this as well. It needs the surrounding verses that talk about acting righteously.

God Calling also exaggerates protection and reward, such as by claiming "there can be no failure with me"[3.1.89] or saying blessings are only given to those who joyfully accept God's will and anticipate the blessings[3.1.82].

Moses did not joyfully accept God's mission to lead the Jews out of Egypt, and I already talked about how Yeshua - Jesus tried to get out of dying on the cross above.

  • In correspondence with Roy at Take His Heart and Elizabeth at Amighty Wind, I told them exactly what was wrong with their false guidance and that statements made by their false-christs or false-holy-spirits were obvious lies. However, they both did not seem to take lies coming from their spirits seriously enough and continued to keep their methods of getting guidance and speaking with these imposters. This shows the brainwashing they've succumbed to, as they are willing to continue working with and listening to lies.

Roy also told me more than once that their teaching is God's because they were guided by their methods to correct their writings after they published them publicly. They believe because "God" corrected their work that it showed more proof of His ownership and so has that authority.

This is flawed logic, as I saw obvious errors in their use of scripture were not fixed by their seemingly "flawless" guidance from God years after I pointed things out to them. This shows that we cannot correct false guidance or teaching with further false guidance or teaching.

I've seen people at Take His Heart, Amighty Wind, and the church in general keep using the same flawed teaching and methods of following God or the Holy Spirit to be guided and to correct themselves. This further shows the spiritual blindness they've fallen to. They've been conditioned to give absolute trust and obedience to their false-christs and other imposters.

It should also be noted that the prophets, original disciples, and other writers of scripture did not go back to their writings and correct them after they were made public. If you are doing this often, then you are not truly following God's guidance or writing from the Spirit, as scripture is supposed to be divinely inspired or God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16) and so should not contain lies or bad teaching.

That is not to say all work that needs correction is not divinely inspired or meant by God to be used. There are many valuable works that God uses for our teaching, but not everything should be canonized as scripture.

  • When I confronted Roy from Take His Heart about some of their false guidance, he told me the enemy attacked them when they published material or were working on material, so it must be valid guidance from God. However, I know the enemy fakes attacks to deceive people.

These staged attacks were used by the enemy to make false guidance appear to be valid. We cannot be naive about what the enemy can do or how smart they are. Christians often take for granted that God protects us from them, but this document makes it clear the many ways they mislead us.

The enemy has been around at least since Adam and Eve, and likely long before, so the church should not underestimate an adversary that has accumulated knowledge and ways to tempt, corrupt, and deceive for that long.

  • God Calling[3.1.97], Take His Heart, and many contemporary ministries overemphasize love and joy. I even heard a preacher say that an unhappy Christian is deficient in some way. God doesn't teach love, joy, and laughter being the cure all that false teaching makes them. Emphasizing these feelings also goes with the overly carnal relationship with God I talked about.

Unhappiness, pain, and suffering are common and expected in life, and for Christians, it is a part of being tested and growing into spiritual maturity (Romans 8:16-18; Philippians 3:8-16; James 1:2-4, 1:12). It also gives us fellowship to experience the sufferings of the Lord and each other (Romans 5:3-5, 8:16-18; 1 Peter 4:12-19; 2 Corinthians 1:3-10, 4:8-18, 6:4-10; Philippians 3:8-11; Colossians 1:24). In contrast, God Calling says "there is no strain for my children"[3.1.77], which contradicts scripture.

Going through suffering also goes with my guidance about the number 413 going with scripture, like Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me," and how God gives us the strength to continue in sufferings. And 1 Peter 4:13 and the surrounding verses note we shouldn't be surprised by the "fiery ordeals" we go through for Christ. We share in His suffering and should keep on rejoicing with our faith in His salvation.

However, God doesn't say we're bad Christians if we cannot joy. In fact, when we walk with God through hard times, we will be renewed and refined in ways that are impossible with trivial hardships and change.

This is shown in scripture like above, and:
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." (Psalm 51:17)

"Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him." (Psalm 126:5)

"Sorrow is better than laughter, because a sad face is good for the heart. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure." (Ecclesiastes 7:3)
  • Mystical manipulation is a technique of brainwashing that is common[6.3.3]. It is the use of false signs, wonders, and miracles to convince people of the authenticity of things. Promising infallible guidance that is always true and right is another aspect of this, which I've talked about above.

False signs, wonders, and miracles are not just those faked by people, but also actual spiritual ones that are "faked" by the enemy. These are workings of real spiritual powers, like prophecy, healing, and other miracles, but are "in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders" (2 Thessalonians 2:9). I already brought up many examples of this above.

Summary of the enemy's capabilities:

Demons were all God's angels in the beginning, so they have the same powers as God's heavenly host. The following is a list of spiritual powers I have witnessed personally or heard testimony about.
  • Open and closed visions - Visions with either the eyes closed (closed visions) or open (open visions)

  • Dreams - Visions or experiences while we are asleep or unconscious

  • Prophecy - The ability to tell the future

  • Mind and thought influence and mind reading - The ability to affect emotions and thoughts, such as giving feelings of fear or rage, as well as communication by thought or directly into our minds. This is why Yeshua - Jesus rebuked Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan!" (Matthew 16:23; Mark 8:33) when he tried to tell Him that He would not suffer and die. Peter was speaking and acting on impulses that the enemy gave him.

  • Bodily and sensory input influence - All of our senses can be influenced, such as smelling, tactile feeling, feeling heat and cold, and hearing things that are not in the environment. Our emotions are also affected by spirits, such as to give feelings of anger, fear, and ecstasy. This goes with open and closed visions and mind influence since our vision and minds can be directly affected by spirits. Demons can give feelings of energy or electricity and heat as well, such as hot sweats can accompany bad dreams given by demons or feelings of electricity may accompany fake or false spiritual gifts.

  • Spiritual influence on more than one person at the same time no matter how far apart they are - I talked about this in 5c. Myth: Satan and demons can only affect one person at a time.

  • Appearing in more than one place at a time

  • Creating real sounds in the environment

  • Physical object materialization, dematerialization, teleportation (apports)

  • Ability to affect or control electronics

  • Ability to work things through lengths of time, such as giving signs or messages with physical things created many years, even centuries, beforehand. People might think only God can do this, but I've seen physical things and people worked through time that are not God's voice. Remember, "Everything comes from God" (1 Corinthians 11:12), but not everything is directly from Him. We need to look at the types of things being manipulated, since there are many things only God can control, such as the stars and detailed working of languages, while the enemy has much less influence on language and people.

  • Other spiritual powers, like telekinesis/psychokinesis, levitation

Summary of enemy tactics:
  • Falsely claim the enemy/demons are powerless and defeated
  • Get submission to their domains
  • Twisting the truth
  • Overemphasize truth and absolute truth
  • Adding false guidance or lies to truth or valid scripture and guidance
  • Giving wrong interpretations of good guidance and scripture
  • Introduce traditions or rituals that are not of God
  • Teach false-sin
  • Limit information or make people dismiss information (spiritual blinding brainwashing)
  • Attack identity and truth and replace them
  • Shift attention from God to themselves (to false-christs and imposters of the Lord, His Spirit, and saints)
  • Take advantage of our ignorance and prevent deeper thinking (thought stopping) to get us to sin and accept false guidance
  • Promote excessive removal of personal opinion or will (killing the self)
  • Promote slavery to law and overemphasize obedience
  • Promote divination or seeking spiritual guidance too often
  • Promote excessive dependence on getting spiritual guidance
  • Promote use of silence and meditation or self-realization techniques to get guidance
  • Promote overly religious, overzealous behavior, teaching, and evangelizing
  • Leverage emotions and love for God to get obedience and accept false guidance
  • Promote more worldly, carnal, intimate relationships with God and spirits
  • Give a false sense of security, such as by:
    • Stating guidance, scripture, or teaching is infallible, inerrant, or can be absolutely trusted with no exceptions
    • Claim spiritual guidance and interpretation comes easily and automatically
    • Claim special protections for obedience that often never come
    • Claim no harm can come when following them
    • Claim false guidance or teaching is harmless
  • Promote or use excessive legalism
  • Promote asceticism or harsh treatment of the body
  • Promote excessive fear and groveling fear
  • Promote "Us vs Them" mentality or excessive need for division and isolation
  • Promote false gospels, like:
    • Salvation through acts or works or rituals, like water baptism
    • Salvation through faith alone
    • Salvation through a close relationship with God
    • Salvation through prayers, like the Sinner's Prayer
    • Salvation by baptism of the Holy Spirit, like at Pentecost
  • Promote condemnation or no hope if you sin or lose salvation in Christ
  • Use of false signs, wonders, and miracles to back up false guidance
  • Make fake attacks to bolster the validity of false guidance
  • Use of ability to affect many people at the same time and across great distances or other spiritual powers to make things look authentically from God
  • Give guidance that contradicts the truth, scripture, and God's character
All the ministries I talked about here have many more examples of false guidance, but I gave enough to give an accurate picture of how the enemy influences people and gives false teaching. God's People should not be ignorant of the enemy and how spiritual warfare works.

Rather, "we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God" (2 Corinthians 4:2).

I also want to note that urging people to seek and follow false guidance is a large part of what the enemy does. It is a very powerful lure to be able to hear God. Take His Heart, as well as other ministries, state their methods let you truly hear and follow God, which is too good to be true as I already said. The fact is, God often allows us to make mistakes and sin, so that we learn through those experiences. I also covered a lot of what the enemy can do and it should be clear that spiritual guidance cannot be trusted blindly.

But don't let these things discourage you from trying to follow God. Keep faith in Him and do not worry so much over being able to hear Him, especially in immediate circumstances. Always keep in mind that the Lord most often guides over time and interpretation belongs to Him (2 Peter 1:20-21; Genesis 40:8), so do not try to interpret everything. You will only end up trying to force good interpretation on false guidance or lies.

God will either give the interpretation directly to you, which may take much time to link to other necessary elements (it took the Lord years to guide me in some things), or He will have a servant of the Lord reveal the meaning of the guidance to you. So learn discipline and patience and let the Lord lead you in whatever ways He sees fit. Pray and petition with faith God will lead you no matter what situation you're in, and do not always expect immediate guidance or that every prayer and question will be answered.

Focus more on seeking the kingdom by ensuring you are saved and keep salvation in Christ, and seek to be righteous (Matthew 6:33). These were points noted above that Christ said was why the Church of Philadelphia would be kept from or through the Great Tribulation (Revelation 3:8-10). He who overcomes will get the kingdom - God's name and New Jerusalem will be written on him (Revelation 3:12-13). We will look further at these points below.

The Harlot and Leaving Her 4/15/2019
Updated 4/26/2022

The last part of this document used to discuss the Harlot Babylon in detail, but the Lord recently had me repeat these details in His alarm to leave the Harlot, so please go there after finishing here.

To end this, I want to say don't be afraid to stop talking to imposter spirits, because you got used to getting their guidance. If you are saved in Christ, He will be with you and nothing can take that away; no angels, principalities, powers, life, death, or anything else (Romans 8:38-39), except for your own denial of Christ (see The True Gospel and Imposters for details), so keep your faith in Yeshua - Jesus.

It's a terrible thing to find out who you've been talking to and gave your complete trust to was actually not God, but an imposter. Because the enemy can fake so many spiritual things in this age, it's easy to just give up and think that maybe Christ's first coming and everything else that is truly from God was also fake and so stop believing in Christ.

Friends of mine went back on their belief, because they gave in to things like other spiritual trinities and virgin births that were taught before the time of the Old Testament[3.1.28.1, 6.1.1.1]. Are the Holy Trinity and things in the Bible just more variations of pagan teaching?

The overwhelming feelings of betrayal and not being able to trust anything anymore once imposters are exposed also makes you think twice about what is real. Whatever your feelings are, don't stop believing in Christ or deny the Lord.

Existence of ancient pagan trinities are just evidence that demons taught them through the ages. As for other virgin births, I can't say I know the origin of every virgin birth legend in pagan religion, but I do know the enemy spreads lies and it is possible some of these myths came from when the angels procreated with human women to create the Nephilim (Genesis 6:4).

I also know there is much to back up the Bible. There is so much physical evidence, like archeological discoveries, that back up Christ's first coming, as well as other contents of the Bible (Lee Strobel's book, A Case For Christ, is a good study for Biblical validation). I can also attest to the truth of spiritual things taught in the Bible with my own experiences, so I have complete faith in the Bible's authenticity as a historical record and testimony, so keep your faith in Christ.

The best things to do when you find you've been following imposters and false teaching, is to reject their false teaching and guidance and get rid of it. Find the sins they attach to, like divination, idolatry, or preaching false gospels, and leave them behind. That is how you bind the strongman, so you can get rid of his property (Matthew 12:29; Mark 3:27). Otherwise, the enemy will just come back if you continue to sin or believe in lies (Matthew 12:43-45; Luke 11:24-26). That's a reason why Yeshua - Jesus told someone to stop sinning or something worse would happen to him after he got healing (John 5:1-14).

If you can't get rid of things, like journals or computers containing false guidance, at the least, bless and cleanse them in the Lord's name. Only keep truth and wisdom from your experiences.

Also with prayer, formally reject false teachings and imposters in the Lord's name and break all bonds and chains they have in you and your family. Then be sure to move forward and discern good teaching from bad and do not return to false teaching.

In Isaiah 27:1, God talks about Leviathan, the gliding and coiling serpent, that represents the enemy, and that it is slain. God will take away the enemy for the Millennial Reign (Revelation 20:7-10), but in this age we must fight them by the knowledge of how they work, and of the truth that I've talked about here and writings I reference, and by walking righteously with God.

Later in Isaiah 27, God said of His People, "For they are not a people of discernment, therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them. And their Creator will not be gracious to them" (Isaiah 27:11). This verse especially goes with the sin of idolatry, since Isaiah 27:9 talks about destroying altar stones, Asherah poles, and incense altars, which are all objects used in worshipping other gods.

It goes with how the church and God's People do not have discernment or truly know Him, righteousness or sin, and end up in idolatry, such as worshipping the saints and other things today. The church has been blinded by false-christs and other imposters to worship and follow them and their teaching as well. This must all be left behind if we truly want to be loyal to God.

May you have discernment and acknowledge the many things about the enemy and sin I've talked about, and leave the Harlot's ways. The Lord bless you in coming to wisdom and righteousness through Mashiach Yeshua - Christ Jesus. Amen.
