Good day, wherever you are, in the name of the Lord. I’m Ty Alexander Huynh, Elder Minister and Teacher of Mashiach Yeshua (Christ Jesus) and Elder Priest of Yahovah ( יהוה ) El Elyon, God Most High. Welcome to this Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashana service, the first for the High Holidays or High Holy Days that continue into the next month. You are free to ask questions with the chat features, but please wait until after the service. I will wait to respond at that time.
Leading up to this service, I talked about all the major Jewish holidays linking to Christ. If you’ve been with me a while, you already know these links, but for the new comers, whether you are traditionally Jewish, Christian, Muslim, or from any other sect, you need to see why God linked all the holidays for His people to Mashiach Yeshua (Christ Jesus) , because it is more proof that the true ways of God are as I have been teaching.
The summary for the Jewish holidays and Christ are:
Pesach/Passover – goes with the sacrifice and death of Christ
First Fruits and Shavuot/Pentecost or Feast of Weeks or First Fruits – go with the resurrection and ascension of Christ after His resurrection, and the completion of promises to the church
Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashana – goes with the coming of Christ
Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement – goes with Christ’s atonement for all sins
Sukkot/Tabernacles and Shemini Atzeret – go with God’s continual love for His people despite their sins and final renewal and even resurrection into eternal life with Christ • Hanukkah – goes with God’s real re-dedication of the temples of our bodies when we are saved in Christ
For more details about these things, you may go to the Holidays page at 3rdCompass.org (http://3rdCompass.org/g?HOLIDAYS ) .
Today, we are focused on Yom Teruah and the High Holidays. It is traditional to call these holidays, especially the first two (Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur), Yamim Noraim [ ימים נוראים “yah-min nor-aym”] - The Days Of Awe – to bring to mind reverence for God as repentance and renewal are focused on. Afterall, it has been a long tradition to call Yom Teruah, Rosh Hashana, which means Head of the Year, and make it a New Year’s celebration. However, God never assigned Yom Teruah as a New Year’s celebration in the Bible, and in fact, did not tell His people in the Bible what the holiday commemorates (Leviticus/Vayikra 23:23-25; Numbers/Bamidbar 29:1-8) .
Yom Teruah is translated The Day of Trumpets or Shouting, where teruah is a Hebrew word for making a loud noise or shout, usually with a trumpet or ram’s horn shofar, like this. For years now, I’ve taught about why God did not tell His people what the commemoration behind Yom Teruah goes with. It was because He was holding the holiday in reserve for the anointment of HaMashiach – The Christ, which we will see much proof of today.
Don’t other Biblical kings get shofar blowings with their anointments? (1 Kings 1:39/Melachim I 1:39; 2 Kings 9:13, 11:12-14/Melachim II 9:13, 11:12-14; 2 Chronicles 23:11-13/Divrei Hayamim II 23:11-13) .
Why shouldn’t our Lord, who is King of kings have the same?
In the past, I said Yom Teruah was all about affirming Mashiach Yeshua – the Messiah Christ – as our one and only true King. I also pointed out some alignments that suggest Yeshua Mashiach was born around Yom Teruah, which further affirmed what I had felt by the Spirit – Yom Teruah is really not a Rosh Hashana, New Year celebration, but a commemoration of HaMashiach – The Christ coming in the flesh those two thousand years ago to inaugurate a whole new age – The New Covenant Age, of which God prophesied by Jeremiah/Yirmiyahu, “Behold, days are coming when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt ” (Jeremiah 31:31-32/Yirmiyahu 31:30-31) .
In the past, though, I only mentioned the alignments that point Yom Teruah at Christ. Today, we will look at them much more fully, so that believers and scoffers, Jews and Christians, may all see how true and accurate are God’s words. Then perhaps your focus for the notion of The Days of Awe will be much more towards reverence to God for His truly awesome and awe inspiring works.
The two alignments that point Yom Teruah to the birth of Christ are the sign of Revelation 12 - a vision God gave to the apostle John - and the record of priestly duty at the temple in Jerusalem. Both of these alignments come with dates, and people have tried to confirm them before, but I noticed errors and discrepancies when I looked at them further.
One discrepancy was in the work of Earnest L. Martin who wrote The Star That Astonished The World in 1991 where I found one alignment with Yom Teruah and Christ. He suggested that the Star of Bethlehem that announced Christ was Jupiter in retrograde, which means sometimes Jupiter appears to “stand still” because of how we view its orbit from earth. However, when I used Stellarium, a good astronomy program, to confirm this “standing still,” I could not find any dates in the years where Christ is supposed to be born that show Jupiter standing still over Bethlehem or Jerusalem.
Perhaps Martin’s astronomy calculations were off decades ago. I have noticed we have more accurate astronomy calculations in recent years with more current software, like Stellarium.
The star of Bethlehem though is not the alignment we will look at today. Martin also talked about the sign of Revelation 12 that points to the birth of Christ on Yom Teruah, “A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth ” (Revelation 12:1-2) .
This sign given to the Apostle John in a vision from God, most people understand to symbolize God’s people and the mother of Christ, Mary or Miriam (pronounced more like Miryam), which is her original Hebrew name, giving birth to the Christ child. However, Martin was inspired to research this vision as a real astrological alignment - the constellation Virgo, The Virgin, aligning with the sun near her center and the moon under her feet.
When I checked Martin’s alignments, the alignments did appear around Yom Teruah on the dates he specified, but his dates were in 2 and 3 BC. That is a few years before the time of Christ, which is not in God’s character of giving signs with much more exact timing.
I also noted that alignments very similar to the Virgo sign of Revelation 12 often appear around any Yom Teruah and other dates because of astrological cycles. If the sign of Revelation 12 is pointing to Christ’s birth, then we must check what is happening at that time.
I needed more accurate timings of new moons and the ancient Hebrew calendar in ancient times, but unfortunately, to my knowledge, records for the ancient Jewish calendar don’t exist.
However, the Lord did guide me to verify some ancient timing last year that does go with the death of Christ and His prophecy of the Seventy Sevens given to Daniel (see http://3rdCompass.org/g?69SEVENS-FULFILLED for more) .
“Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem until the Mashiach the Prince shall be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. The street will be built again, and the wall, even in troubled times. And after sixty two weeks, the Messiah will be cut off and have no one ” (Daniel 9:24-26) .
That prophecy says HaMashiach - The Christ – would be “cut off” after 69 of the 70 “weeks, ” which begin at the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem . If you saw how I evaluated those sevens last year, you know I found the beginning of the sevens to be March 20, 444 BC, which fit in the 20th year of the reign of King Artaxerxes. That is very important because the Bible says Artaxerxes let Nehemiah/Nechemya return to Judah to rebuild Jerusalem in the 20th year of his reign (Nehemiah/Nechemya 2:1-8) .
I was inspired that I could confirm the dating of Robert Anderson for these sevens, which God led him to understand in 1894. Dating for these first 69 of Daniel’s Sevens gives more accurate timing for the death of Christ – the cutting off of the Messiah in Daniel 9. However, when I did my evaluation, I only used a guess for the date of Pesach/Passover in 32 AD when Christ died. For further evaluation of the Yom Teruah alignments, I would need more accurate dating.
So I went to Stellarium again and got more accurate timing for the phases of the moon. This is important because the Hebrew calendar is based on lunar cycles.
[initial lunar calendar]
I set the location to Jerusalem and recorded moon phases near new moons going backwards from my guess of when Passover was in 32 AD.
New moons begin a month in the Hebrew calendar, and in ancient times they were sighted by the first sliver of crescent observed, which can happen 2 to 3 days after the waning crescent is not visible. Today the lunar calendar is based on modern calculations and the secular world defines a new moon as the day when there is 0% illuminance, but the Jewish months are still based on the first visible crescent, which is estimated from modern lunar calendars.
However, not knowing how keen-eyed the ancients were, I guessed they would sight a new moon at close to 1% of the full moon. This gave me good guesses for when the ancient Hebrew months started, but wanting to be more accurate, I found the work of Richard Lanser who estimated ancient moon phases from trying to reconcile ancient Babylonian records with modern calculations.
[Lanser chart]
Our calendars agreed, for the most part, where Aviv/Nisan, the first month of the Jewish year came. Lancer’s new moons were often a day after the ones I selected, so sighting for the first crescent of a new moon is closer to 2% of the full moon instead of 1%. However, his data is based on sightings at Babylon, not Jerusalem, and is based on the Babylonian calendar which is different from the Hebrew calendar, even though they are both based on lunar months.
I also noted the days of the week (Sunday, Monday, etc.) Lanser and I had did not match when Christ was crucified, which is known to be the day before the weekly sabbath, Friday. My calendar is simply an extension of our modern calendar, so the days of the week align with that. I’m not sure how Lanser aligned his days of the week. Also, some of my leap years where the 13th Hebrew month of Adar II is, were not always the same as Lanser’s. In ancient times the leap year was added when seasonal changes did not line up with when Aviv/Nisan came, so determining exactly where leap years go may be off, though I would favor Lanser’s leap years because seasonal observations in ancient Babylon should not be very different than ancient Israel.
To reconcile things more and make a better estimate of the ancient Hebrew calendar, I changed my new moon sightings to favor crescents closer to 2% and shifted the Hebrew months accordingly.
[corrected lunar calendar]
I also added the Passover date for 32 AD, which I assigned as the new time for the last of the 69 sevens, because Christ must die after that seven according to God’s prophecy (Daniel 9:26) .
Last year, I guessed the date for Passover 32 AD to be April 15, which is an average. From the lunar cycle, though, you can see I was only one day off. It is line 7 in the chart. The corrected date is April 14. This means the time calculations I did last year for the sevens remain valid in confirming that Christ did get cut off after that last seven, just as God prophesied, because His Last Supper was for the first Passover feast and later that night He was captured and crucified the next day (Matthew 26:17; Mark 14:12; Luke 22:7-8; Matthew 26:30-27:50; Mark 14:26-15:37; Luke 22:39-23:46) .
[next calendar]
A better estimate for these sevens along with the timings of the Hebrew months in ancient times gave me the dating anchor I needed to evaluate the alignments with Yom Teruah for Christ’s birth.
Martin’s Virgo alignments were around Yom Teruah in 2 or 3 BC, though. Christ should be born in 1 AD or 1 BC (there is no year zero) because scripture tells us He was 33 years old when He died (see There was not enough oil but the menorah remained lit for scripture details; https://3rdcompass.org/g?69SEVENS-FULFILLED), which was also confirmed by Daniel’s sevens because I double-checked that we cannot move the last of the 69 sevens to either the previous or next Passover without moving out of the correct beginning for all the sevens, which must be within King Artaxerxes’s 20th year.
32 AD has to remain fixed for the death of Christ, so He needs to be born in 1 BC or 1 AD. This means the sign of Revelation 12 must happen at or just before Christ is born,
[Yeshua calendar]
so I looked at the how Virgo aligned with the sun and moon when Yom Teruah happens from about 3 BC to 3 AD (on Tishrei/Ethaim 1) .
[Virgo Sign of Revelatin 12 rises in the morning of September 18, 0001 BC]
I found that Virgo rises with the sun near her at about the time of Yom Teruah in those years, but it is on Yom Teruah in 1 BC (September 18) that the sun and moon are most accurately aligned with the sign of Revelation 12.
Furthermore, three of the visible planets are grouped together with that Virgo sign (Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury). One of them being Venus, which is also called the Morning Star. This is very interesting, because Christ is also called The Bright and Morning Star or Day Star (2 Peter 1:19; Revelation 22:16) .
So now we have confirmation for one of the alignments that link the birth of Christ to Yom Teruah. The sign of Revelation 12 literally did appear in the sky during Yom Teruah 1 BC. This aligns with God’s prophecy of the Seventy Sevens, which is also exact in timing and limits the possible timeframes for the life of Christ . Who else, but El Elyon, God Most High, can move the heavens, stars, prophecy, and timings on the earth in so precise a way?
Truly, the works of God are amazing and wonderous! Yet, I imagine there are scoffers still, because stellar alignments for Virgo, like shown in Revelation 12, happen all the time. So God gave another alignment to check. This one does not have as precise of timing, but goes with the priestly duty cycle that God set for the temple in Jerusalem through Aaron and King David (1 Chronicles/Divrei Hayamim I 24:19, 28:11-21) .
To summarize it, it assigns 24 divisions of priestly families to work two 1-week shifts during the year in a cycle that begins at Aviv/Nisan, the first month of the Hebrew year (http://www.yahuahkingdom.com/uploads/8/3/6/9/8369443/yahusha_birthday.pdf ) . The priest divisions are listed and ordered by lot in 1 Chronicles/Divrei Hayamim I 24:7-18.
Using the priestly duty cycle is necessary because the Bible gives a timeline for the conception of HaMashiach – The Christ that is based on when Zechariah/Zecharya, the father of John the Baptist, served at the temple.
Zechariah belonged to the priestly division of Abijah/Aviyah (Luke 1:5) , which is 8th in the duty cycle. However, before I could place the duty cycle in a calendar, I needed to fix the problem I saw with the days of the week not lining up. To be aligned with scripture, Christ must die on a Friday, the day before the weekly Sabbath (Matthew 27:62; Mark 15:42; Luke 23:54; John 19:31) . But my calendar program gave me Monday for Passover when Christ had the Last Supper and later that night He was captured. So I had Tuesday for the Crucifixion, which is wrong.
This discrepancy has to do with calendars changing through history, so our modern calendars don’t align the days of the week if they’re extended back in time. To fix this, I shifted the days on my calendar so that Christ died on Friday and started adding the priestly duty cycle.
[priest duty cycle beginning in 1 BC]
However, there can be some variance to exactly which week the cycle begins because priests were supposed to start and end duty on the sabbath, but whether the yearly cycle started on the closest sabbath to Aviv/Nisan 1 or the first sabbath of Aviv 1 is unclear. I chose the closest sabbath for my calendar.
Also, the exact week for each priestly division has variance as well, because all the priests were on duty during the three mandatory holidays of Pesach/Passover, Shavuot/Pentecost, and Sukkot/Tabernacles, so the cycle skips over those weeks and like the first of the year, exactly when the duty shifts to the next division may be unclear.
[duty cycle scroll through]
After I made my best guess for when each division served, I could get possible dates for the birth of Christ from the timing in the New Testament. The Bible says that Elizabeth/Elisheva, John the Baptist’s mother, was in her 6th month of pregnancy when Mary/Miriam was made pregnant by the Spirit of God (Luke 1:23-38) . Elizabeth would have become pregnant soon after Zechariah returned home from his duty cycle, the first of which ended on about May 29, 2 BC.
[Possible birth timeframes for Christ given the end times of the Abijah priest division times on duty]
To get a timeframe for Christ’s birth, I added 30 days for the end of the sixth month of pregnancy, and added 280 days for a full term pregnancy to the begin and end dates.
I also calculated the timeframes if Zechariah’s first week of duty shifted for various reasons and added another calculation if we use a date for the second week of duty for Zechariah. It is the last block of text here. And if you look at the final date range, it puts the birth of Christ in February or early March; too early in the year to go with any Biblical alignments, including the Virgo Sign of Revelation 12.
However, the three date ranges that use possible dates for the first week of duty for Zechariah all overlap the High Holidays, which also mean they all overlap the time when the Virgo Sign of Revelation 12 happens on Yom Teruah.
[Yeshua birthdate priest duty cycle start]
So now we have the second confirmation for the link with Yom Teruah and the birth of Christ. Did history truly unfold with the birth of HaMashiach – The Messiah somewhere between Yom Teruah and the end of the High Holidays in 1 BC?
[Yeshua birthdate timeframe]
The High Holidays are in the middle of the possible range for the birth of Christ. It is highlighted here from September 4 to October 17, 1 BC, calculated from the very first and very last dates Zechariah could have returned home from his first duty cycle in Jerusalem.
All the signs, scripture, date and stellar calculations, and prophecy say, yes, Yeshua Mashiach was born during the High Holidays in 1 BC. And even long before I did these detailed evaluations, I had been led by God to understand Yom Teruah is supposed to commemorate Christ as our one and only King. I did not start teaching this years ago on my own whim. But by God’s incredible hand and unceasing guidance through many years and people, the true reason for Yom Teruah is very clear. This also goes with scripture suggesting that Mary gave birth before the winter months, because a census was ordered that required all men to travel to their home towns (Luke 2:1-3) and the shepherds where still pasturing their flocks at night (Luke 2:8-20) . Both of those things are unlikely during the colder winter months.
Please stand now for the teruah shofar blowing and worship our Lord and King, Mashiach Yeshua, our Faithful and True embodiment of Yahovah El Elyon, God Most High. Give now all your focus to worshipping the Lord and acknowledging His reign.
[Song For Yom Teruah]
VIDEO
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your great works and lifting us up in reverence for you.
Now, you may wonder, why is there no mention of Yom Teruah, Rosh Hashana, or trumpets being blown at Yeshua’s birth in the New Testament. Remember in the analysis, we can only get a range of about one month for the birth of Christ, so Yeshua may not have been born right on Yom Teruah. Joseph and Mary were traveling to Bethlehem for a census and she was at full term in her pregnancy as well (Luke 2:1-7) , so with her discomfort, it is not likely they would have given much attention to Rosh Hashana celebrations.
Also, only priests were allowed to blow the shofar on Yom Teruah. This may not have been done in Bethlehem being a smaller town while the priest in the temple duty cycle would perform Yom Teruah service and blow the shofar in Jerusalem.
What is clear, though, is that Christ’s anointment as King was hidden, just as King David’s was. David was a pre-embodiment of Christ and also did not get a trumpet blowing when the Lord selected and anointed him king (1 Samuel/ Shmuel I 16:12-13) . Both of them were anointed king in secret, because the sitting kings sought to kill them and wanted to keep the throne. David had to run and hide from King Saul just as Yeshua had to run and hide from King Herod.
If Yeshua was born on Yom Teruah, why did the Lord let the church be misled about Christmas being all about His birth? There have been many dark forces in the church that kept her in misinformation and false teaching, but it was the Lord’s will the weeds of the enemy remain planted in His kingdom, according to the Parable of the Tares and Wheat in Luke 13.
But now, at the end of the age, God is calling His People to greater discernment and to come out of darkness and false teachings and their institutions. In the last two years, God had me connect Yom Teruah, a holiday that makes a remembrance with shofar trumpet blasts, so I could proclaim His Alarm teruah call - to make His people understand the times and leave that spiritual Babylon, that Mystery Harlot (Revelation 17:5) , whom God revealed to be made of the People of God who are loyal to what is false and living in sins from all sects and denominations throughout Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
This has been a serious Alarm that brought me to see how many prophecies from the earlier prophets are being fulfilled now in our days; prophecies from Jeremiah/Yirmiyahu, Isaiah/Yeshayahu, Amos, Hosea/Hoshea, and Zechariah/Zecharya (see God’s Alarm for more; http://3rdCompass.org/g?GODS-CORAL-ALARM ) . Prophecies that highlight the people’s loyalties to false gods – the Baals of old – and how the people have corrupted themselves in false beliefs and teachings that come from broken cisterns that do not hold water (Jeremiah/Yirmiyahu 2:13) .
God has revealed how His people have fallen to idolatry today, just as in the days of the earlier prophets, because the Baals of old never did die, for these spirits do not die, they only change to fit the times, and so today, through the millennia, as God brought the New Covenant Age into being with Christ, the People of God have fallen to the deceptions of imposters of God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the saints and angels – the Baals of this age.
The new thing , that New Covenant God proclaimed by the earlier prophets (Jeremiah 31:22, 31:27-34/Yirmiyahu 31:21, 31:26-33; Isaiah/Yeshayahu 36:23-27) , and by which God put into effect as the Son, HaMashiach, The Messiah Christ, Yeshua (Jesus) , was also foretold by the earlier prophets.
Christ is whom God said, For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. He is called, Pele Yoetz, El Gibbor, AviAd , Sar Shalom - Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. There is no end to the greatness of His government or peace on the throne of David and over His kingdom. The zeal of God, Yahovah of hosts, will accomplish it (Isaiah 9:6-7/Yeshayahu 9:5-6) .
And so El Elyon, God Most High, made it true. He came as the Son , for there can be no other child given the titles of El Gibbor or AviAd - Mighty God, Everlasting Father - than God Himself (Isaiah 9:6/Yeshayahu 9:5) , for He also said, Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. I, only I, am Yahovah, and there is no savior besides Me. It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed (Isaiah/Yeshayahu 43:10-12) .
And so El Elyon, God Most High, proclaimed and sealed the New Covenant by His words and by His blood in the flesh some two thousand years ago. God’s promises are sure and true, as we have seen today by the many confirmations of alignments to Yom Teruah and the coming of Christ. But by the earlier prophets He also said that Beast which was ancient Rome would come to trample and subdue the nations (Daniel 7:7, 7:19-20) , and yet, God also said He, yes, He would sow the seed of that Beast in the very same breath as He spoke of sowing the seed of the Son of Man and New Covenant – Behold, days are coming when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of mankind and the seed of animals (Jeremiah 31:27-34/Yirmiyahu 31:26-33) .
And so it was done, and now today, that seed of animals , better translated as seed of beast , refers to that Beast Daniel saw in vision, and which is the same Beast John saw in the Book of Revelation. This Beast of which has a hold on God’s people is also true, and by the Baals of this age, those imposters of God and what is true, have most of God’s people in chains. All these truths were part of God’s Teruah Alarm Call that I’ve sent throughout the church and more recently to Israel and Judaism.
Truly, it is the end of the age, when God said the weeds in His kingdom, those imposters of the devil, would be gathered up (Matthew 13:36-43) , for they have been revealed through God’s Teruah Alarm (http://3rdCompass.org/g?GODS-CORAL-ALARM ) and His work in this ministry. This is also why I told those in Judaism to not go to other churches or ministries after they realize the prophecies of Christ are true and fulfilled (http://3rdCompass.org/g?GODS-OFFERING-TO-JUDAISM ) – most of the church is corrupted by false teachings that will put you in sin and idolatry, just as corrupted Judaism does. And most of the church has lost her ancient Hebrew roots, which are still important, for they are the foundation that God built upon with HaMashiach, The Christ. So, traditional Jews among you, do not be afraid of losing your identity and heritage here. Only know that we are now One People under Mashiach Yeshua, no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female, for we are all one in Christ (Galatians 3:28) .
I thank you and praise God that you are here with me to learn from God’s living waters – His uncorrupted spiritual guidance from His Spirit. This is the water God’s people have been lacking when He said they make cisterns or pits for water that cannot hold water (Jeremiah/Yirmiyahu 2:13) .
Instead, God’s people drink from polluted waters, false teachings that are impossible for the layman and even the learned shepherds to filter clean, for they use unacceptable and unapproved filters, thinking themselves and their teachers and Bibles are clean, but when they drink, they consume what is corrupt and leads to death. This is how it has been for millennia as the Beast took power and the weeds overtook the fields of God’s kingdom.
God put an urgent alarm call into Yom Teruah these past years to leave the ways of the Harlot, but that is not the main intent of His first High Holy Day when He proclaimed it as a remembrance or memorial (Leviticus/Vayikra 23:24) . Those thousands of years ago, the Lord did not tell His people what the teruah blowing of trumpets and shouting was to commemorate. It was sometime after God gave the commands for Yom Teruah that this holiday became associated with a New Year holiday, which is why most people call it Rosh Hashana, Hebrew for Head of the Year.
Some think the New Year link came after the Jews were exposed to Babylonian and other pagan cultures during the exile, but there were no pagan New Year festivals at the same time as Yom Teruah. It is much more likely the New Year link came from Jewish traditions that mark Yom Teruah as the time God created Adam and Eve/Havah or when He created the world. These traditions of making Yom Teruah commemorate a new beginning cannot be accidents or from dark influences when we have seen God give so many alignments that it is linked to the coming of Christ to start the New Covenant Age.
The Hebrew word, zikron ( זכרון ), used for “memorial or remembrance” associated with the teruah calls on this holiday (Leviticus 23:24) also means “reminder,” which goes with the reason why God would have me also connect Yom Teruah to a teruah call to attention for His People. In the next age, God’s Teruah Alarm Call to leave the Harlot Babylon will be over, but there will still be need of a teruah “reminder” call for all the people. This reminder goes with the next High Holy Day, Yom Kippur or Day of Atonement when sin and repentance are dealt with – these connections mean God also wants Yom Teruah to be a reminder of leaving behind sin and seeking righteousness through the example and laws of Mashiach Yeshua.
Those who see the Lord in Mashiach Yeshua, today, will joy when He returns to reign over the next age. He will bring a new set of laws and statutes for all the world, as He will be head of God’s kingdom on the entire earth, the only king (Zechariah 14:9) , and place His seat in the third temple of Jerusalem. Immorality will still be an issue for the people in the next age as Christ continues to place all enemies under His feet, the last of which will be death (1 Corinthians 15:25-26) done away with at the end of the next age, so Yom Teruah’s reminders with trumpets and shouts will remind the people and commemorate Who is Ruler of all on earth and that all will be subject to judgment for sin under His laws and reign.
Let us continue to affirm the rule of Mashiach Yeshua with song and begin the need to remember our wrongs and a walk in repentance. After worship, the holiday service will end and I will answer questions. Please stand now to worship the Lord.
