A response to a Times of Israel article, "Rabbinate delays divorce of a woman it helped wed but now says may not be Jewish," was made. I copy it in entirety here since the Times of Israel will not let all my comments be made public. My comments were also sent directly to the Israeli Rabbinate as they were with Daughter Israel, Make Right Your Ways, which also dealt with unrighteous rulings in divorce and referred to in the new comments.

The article talked about how the Rabbinate hypocritically and unjustly ruled in a divorce case that kept a couple from divorcing though there were no reasonable grounds to withhold it. The High Court of Israel ruled the Rabbinate to allow the divorce but did not give a deadline.

Minister Ty Alexander: Let the Rabbinate comply with the High Courts swiftly, for this is a disgrace long overdue. The Rabbinate officials who are responsible for these unjust rulings and actions will be held accountable by Yahovah El Elyon, God Most High, who hates those who stand in high places and rule with unjustness.

To the Rabbinate: This is what Yahovah El Elyon, God Most High, says, "You are not do injustice in judgment, nor should you show partiality to the poor nor give preference to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly. You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people, nor are you are put the life of your neighbor in peril. You are not to hate your fellow countryman in your heart. You may certainly rebuke your neighbor, but you are not to bring sin because of them. You are not to take vengeance, nor hold any grudge against any of your people, but you are to love your neighbor as yourself" (Vayikra/Leviticus 19:15-18; also Devarim/Deuteronomy 1:17, 16:19; Iyov/Job 13:10, 32:21, 34:19; Tehillim/Psalm 82:2; Mishlei/Proverbs 18:5, 24:23, 28:21).

Search out yourselves. The article said, you investigate a person’s Jewishness despite having already determined it to be valid. And moreover, you try to make yourselves not liable to act by citing the Bassan Ruling – the judgment of man, not God. Your judgments in making agunot were already evaluated and you were told by the name of El Elyon, God Most High, to change. Should not the one who sits in judgment for God’s people heed His command? Should you not fear Adonai?

Yahovah Sabaoth’s (of hosts) patience is at an end and He examines you. If you have not sinned against the laws of El Elyon, God Most High, you are acquitted and you will have peace, but if your decrees and judgments witness against you, El Elyon, God Most High, will increase His anger upon you and He will bring wave upon wave of disaster to you, and your authority will be broken; you will no longer exalt yourselves among the people. This is declared in the name of El Shaddai, God Almighty, whose name is Yahovah Sabaoth. Amen.
