Is Christmas A Fake Holiday?

What is superficial?

Reports say that holiday spending is up 4% from last year. Much of that is because of the typical Christmas gift buying tradition. This is when a lot of people are having more difficult financial times. There's more homelessness and more people without enough food for daily life, much less holiday feasting and giving gifts. There's a lot of proof Christmas was NOT when Christ was born, yet society continues on her grand, superficial spending and artificial merry making. It's mostly for tradition's sake, because I know how important those traditions are when my family lived in them all my life, but the holy glow of Christmas lost its allure after finding out it is not what most people believe it is.

Why is Christmas artificial?

The church instated Christmas to replace pagan Winter Solstice festivals that happened on December 25th (in January for Orthodox Churches), so why should people of God keep on celebrating a fake, cover-up holiday when there is evidence Christ was born on a completely different day? Put God and holiness on anything and the people will soak it up; that's how the church succeeded in Christianizing the world. Yet God was still behind it, or was He?

God has used corruptions in the church and in ALL peoples of God for His purposes, but they have run their course after multiple millennia. What will perish, God will abandon, for the coming age will not have these corruptions in the reign of the King on earth. So see that the traditions and festivals of man will be caught in destructions and your merriment will cease. What will you do on the day of the appointed festivals, my people? For behold, they are gone because of destruction; because of the corruptions brought by the hearts of man entangled with darkness (Hosea/Hoshea 9:5-6).
